The Samyang 14 mm is an ultra wide-angle manual focus lens designed for both Full-Frame and APS-C cameras. It features exceptional optical performance, regardless of its price class, throughout the image from its centre to borders. Even when used wide open at f2.8, its quality is excellent and is perfectly suited to landscape photography requiring a high quality wide angle lens and suitable for either professional or amateur photographer and videographers.

The Samyang 14 mm f/2.8 IF ED UMC Aspherical Lens features high build quality, with a built in petal shaped lens hood to help shade the lens from light sources behind the camera. Constructed from metal and high quality plastic, the 14 mm features a smooth dampened manual focus ring, the aperture ring features 1/2 EV steps.

The Samyang 14 mm features a wide, ribbed manual focus ring which is smooth and well damped. This provides a positive manual focus, particularly suitable for more professional videoing/filming with DSLRs where manual focus is preferred, enabling focusing pulling whilst video recording.

The optical construction is 14 elements in 12 optical groups with 3 high refractive index elements, 2x ED element, an aspherical hybrid element plus a aspherical glass element. The latest generation of anti-reflective layers: UMC - Ultra Multi Coated are incorporated to minimize flare and ghosting. The lens is supplied with a special front snap-on lens cap, rear lens cap and soft lens case.
