Shopper : IS thislens chipped to communicate with my Canon SL-1?JOANNE D : It works great on the T3i an couples to the autofocus and light metering to stop down the lens on it. If the SL-1 is compatible with FD lenses then it should work.
DR. C : Thanks I knew that from the ad. Maybe I will ask it differently. Do you supply a focus confirmation chip adapter?ANDREW R : I'm unaware of any sort of adapter. The way the chip would work it would need to have data stored on the specific lens you're using (max and min aperture, focal length, etc.). I don't think that would be possible with an add-on adapter.

The Samyang 85mm f/1.4 Aspherical Lens for Canon gives you a medium telephoto field of view that's ideal for portraits. With a hybrid aspherical lens and multi-layer coating, you can produce sharply defined images with a minimum of flare and ghosting. The 85mm lens focuses as close as 3.3' (1.0 m). This lens is designed for use with full-frame film and digital cameras, but may also be used with cameras with APS-C sized sensors.
