This is indeed a sharp lens, but it lacks any character. There are good 135mm lenses out there for less money that are more worth it.

I am using the lens on a Sony FS7. I’ve only shot one project on the lens so far. I had to shoot a glass award and it was rotating on a motorize turntable. The lens was very sharp and it was easy to adjust the focus as the award rotated. I’m looking forward to my next project where the macro will come in handy. I would recommend this lens.

Great lens. If you are serious about being a filmaker or videographer you need to get this lens and get your reps in.

The Samyang 35mm T1.5 Cine AS UMC Lens for Canon EF was developed primarily for film and video applications. The cine version of Samyang's 35mm lens features industry-standard gearing for the focus and aperture ring, and the aperture ring has been de-clicked for smooth iris pulls. The aperture and focus scales have also been relocated to the side of the lens, where it is easier for focus pullers to read them.
This lens is compatible with full-frame sensors and can also be used on APS-C-sized sensors, where the 35mm-equivalent focal length will be 56mm. The optical construction incorporates two high refractive index elements and one aspherical element to reduce chromatic aberrations and distortion to produce sharper imagery. Additionally, a UMC coating has been applied to lens elements to minimize lens flare and ghosting for more contrast-rich images.
