The build and look are great I guess but I followed the directions to download the necessary software and was unable to open the program because their software wasn?t up to date or something like that. So I suppose I will have to reach out to them. I?m running on a 2021 Mac Mini - M1 chip.

I am using Sony a7c and I get this lens station with Samyang 35mm 1.8 for Sony full frame. They are making great lenses. Build quality, AF, and sharpness of the lens are great - and this lens station is awesome too!! nice build quality and very easy to use.(Must item) If you want to build a budget lens lineup for your sony alpha camera, You CANNOT avoide Samyang. They are making great lenses for sony. And if you want them, take this guy too.

This lens station really works. I was on the verge of returning my Samyang 24mm 2.8 because I was having AF issues on my Sony A7R IV. I got the lens at a good price and decided to give it a chance so I ordered this lens station. Connected my lens, updated the firmware, changed some other settings and viola, the AF is great now! For some reason my lens had a +1 set for the AF adjustment. I set it back to zero and I adjusted the manual focus sensitivity to 'slow' which is my preference. Very happy with purchase.

Well, this lens station mounted my single Samyang lens and was able to read the firmware version. The lens came with the most recent iteration of firmware so I was unable to test if it was able to load a new version to the lens.

I had one defective one but this is pretty straightforward upgrading device. It’s the only way Samyang can be updated (unfortunately) so you will have to buy it.

I wish that this adapter wasn't necessary and one could update the firmware via the camera. Nevertheless, the base works well and has served me well with my Samyang lenses. Samyang makes improvements frequently to their lens firmware, especially in regards to AF performance so this tool becomes an essential part of the kit if you enjoy Samyang lenses.

So, I live in Vancouver Canada and this item is really only available via Amaz0n.ca, but the price is insanely high (even after the exchange rate), so I ordered it from Adorama and had it shipped to a PO Box over the border to avoid any duty (I wasn't in a hurry for it), and after updating my Samyang AF 35mm F1.4 E-mount lens, it's AF is now even faster! MY ONLY gripe isn't so much the actual unit, but when I attempted to do the update with my Surface Book (so...PC), I simply couldn't do it because of the file for whatever reason... I got frustrated but luckily my wife is all Apple (Mac, iPhone, iPad etc etc), and going through her MacBook Pro, it was a breeze... not sure what happened because we followed the instructions to the T on both systems, but it just wasn't happening on my PC.

Works great. Easy to use. I don't know if it's really worth buying because the new firmware doesn't improve auto focus by much. But that itself is in the firmware and the lens itself.
