I purchased the genie about a month ago and have used it on several projects so far, could not be happier. Very well built. Genie is heavy -- my guess is there is a huge battery allowing for great battery life and long timelapses. I was on the road for a project and shot about 10-12 short timelapses (about 20 min each) over 3 days, and the battery still showed as completely full without a single charge. Interface is simple and snappy. From the time you turn the power on, you could easily be shooting within 30 seconds or less. Pre-programmed for People, Clouds, and Stars making it even easier. Just make sure you have a sync cable for shutter release. Syrp sells separately

I already had the Syrp Genie Mini (x2) and wanted to add a 3rd axis for motion timelapse and this is the bomb. Works very well. Next to add a Syrp Magic Carpet
