I was very impressed with the power of these lights, I was shooting food at the lowest power and was at 16 WOW..., the problem I had was the slave is unbelievability poor I had the lights no more than 6ft apart and the slave did not work...I mean did not work! this is not what we need. I had a old slave from 100 years ago, I had to use to fix this in the middle of a shoot. So now I need to get a second receiver (pocketwizard) don't get me wrong the light and ease of use are GREAT but the slave is USELESS so when you need more than one get another receiver

I started using this set after I realized I was underpowered for a rodeo shoot. "Not enough light" I took a gamble and it payed off. I have used these for football all the way to basketball. Be sure to turn it all the way down for Bball as it will blind the players! Football was great as the light was so bad a standard speedlight would not cut it. These flashes came in and saved the day and with no failures. The ruggedness of the case proved invaluable. Was able to get above the players without worry about them one bit. Downside is once you get it up in the air and you need to change your light you have to lower it all the way down. You can only shoot on manual flash and kind of work around it. The recycle rate is great for a flash this size. They say 3-5 per second but usually around 2 at full power it would diminish incredibly. Yet it would be ready to go in about 2 seconds. The fans are a god send for lots of pictures quickly. No worry about overheat with this one. Overall just a great investement and invaluable tool for my needs.

The Force 10 flash system is indispensable to me.
The Force 10 delivers a true 1000Ws of power and has an ISO 100 guide number of 540 with the normal 11.5" reflector. This light output is greater than other monolights rated at 1800 and 2000Ws! The fan cooled monolight can operate at 4 or 5 frames per second at low power levels. Audible and visual ready indications at 100% recycle are provided. With normal reflectors (the Force 10 accepts all Speedotron light control accessories), it has a lighting range of 8 f-stops, variable in 1/3 or 1/6 stop increments. Using the same innovative focusing ring as the Black Line 202VF and 206VF light units, the beam angle of the normal reflector can be changed from 35° to more than 90°. This expands the total guide number output range from an incredible 42 to 540.
Packed with power and the latest in digital technology, the Force Series Monolights deliver the performance, versatility and reliability needed for commercial applications and digital imaging. Features include a single dial control for flash and model lamp intensity; microcomputer circuitry for precise light output and thermal management; and internal discharge circuits for quick, accurate power changes. A high sensitivity slave allows multiple Force units to be used without interconnecting cables. The Speedotron Force Series Monolights are backed by a 2-year warranty, with an optional Plus-3 Protection Plan available.
