The EXP1500 LV 1500 W/s AC/DC Power Supply, also known as the Speedotron Explorer 1500 Digital Portable Power Supply, is a cost-effective alternative to gas-powered generators and expensive European portable systems. Designed for location shoots where electrical power may be scarce, this power supply ensures you never miss a shot due to power limitations.
Complementing the power supply is the 103C7C UV Corrected Light Unit with 7" Reflectors. This compact and low-profile light unit is an ideal choice for on-location shoots. Its small size allows it to fit into tight spaces, making it easy to conceal. With a maximum power acceptance of 2400 watt-seconds, the 103C light unit is compatible with all Black Line power supplies. It features a switch to turn off the model lamp, prolonging lamp life and aiding in cooling. This light unit comes complete with a 2400 watt-second quartz flash tube, a 150 watt quartz model lamp, a 7" umbrella reflector, and a 20' power cable. It can accept reflectors ranging from 7" to 22" for added versatility.
The kit also includes the Photogenic EC45BC 45" Eclipse Umbrellas. These umbrellas are known for their patented Eclipse design that eliminates the "ghost" image often created by the exposed ribs of traditional umbrella constructions. The interior of these umbrellas features a flat panel design with a reflective photographic white panel. The fabric material of the Eclipse umbrellas is custom-woven and color-specified to provide a color-neutral reflection. Each umbrella comes with a removable black cover to confine light, which can be removed to transform the umbrella into a shoot-through translucent tool.
