Shopper : what size lens can this hold?JEFFREY A : I can do: canon 5d mark iii with 2 lens and possibly a flash.Alexander H : I've got a a nikon 28-300 FX lens in there, vertically. classy little messenger bag

This is a modestly sized messenger bag, perfect for my needs to tote 7Dmk2 with attached 70-200F4L plus an additional smaller lens. A bit of a stretch with that gear but acceptable to keep the overall package size small and handy. It's my 2nd Timbuk2 bag - high quality and sharp , clean appearance not flashy.

Big Enough for DSLR with standard zoom and 2 other zooms

Just the right size to qualify as a personal item for most airlines, which means you can have your camera bag as a carry on item and an additional DLSR with standard zoom, with wide angle zoom and tele zoom. I used Nikon equipment in mine and I was able to fit a D750 with 24-120, 70-300 and 16-35 zooms. Canon gear equivalent would be 70-300L, 16-35L and 24-105L with a 6D or 7D DSLR camera. Good for day trips when you don't have a lot of room. Makes you think about what you really need in a bag.

Great everyday smaller bag and especially great option for travel ????

Love this bag!! Such a great smaller everyday bag which still has more pockets and small features I continue to discover. I wanted a bag I can use everyday that wasn’t overbearing but was convenient enough for me to have my camera on me all the time for spontaneous captures. Love this bag and would highly recommend!!

tripod tie is a bit clumsy

The bag is good for storing a single camera with few additional lens, but when you have to carry a tripod with it, it would be very clumsy as the tripod is carried with ties at the bottom of the bag, that would prevent you to place the bag flat on the ground if the tripod are there. It is not that secure when the tripod is attached to the bag.

Love this bag

This is a great bag for day trips with my fujifilm xt1. It holds everything I need and not that much more, fits easily over my shoulder and is easy to open and secure. It is well built and can withstand the elements. I highly recommend this bag

Snug but just enough

I can fit three lenses, a charger and accessories for a mirrorless. I wish I had the option of removing or securing the tripod straps, but I just tangle them up in the closing straps.

Overall, good purchase

I love everything about it, I wish it was a tad bigger, then again, this will defeat the purpose. The only beef I have with it is that, you can use the built in Velcro style fasteners - on the inside- instead of the straps to hold the cover in place, I wish if I can remove the straps while using the Velcro instead of them hanging stupidly in the air. Defeats the purpose. I love it though. Mine holds the body, a 70-200 in one side, the 85, 50 and the 24-70 on the other side, there is room for a hot shoe and few remotes under the body, you may slide your iPad in the back skinny compartment that is almost the entire back of the bag, it will fit the iPad 12" nicely.

Fantastic low profile bag

Very nice bag. It lives up to its name. Same quality as my other timbuk2 bags. I have the micro four thirds system and I was able to fit the Panasonic gf7 with 35mm lense as well as my Panasonic omd m-5 with 45mm side by side and still have plenty of room to spare...like 3 more lenses. there is a laptop sleeve where I was able to fit my macbook 13" comfortably its also big enough for a 15" thin laptop such as my Dell precision 5510. it's very study and it adequately serve my need as I like to carry around a bag around that doesn't scream out -camera inside.... all crusions are reconfigurable to fit different size camera and lenses. The entire insert is also removable which is a nice feature.

Great bag, Great Quality - Small size

While the bag is listed as small, it really is SMALL.. I mean, we all carry a bit of gear.. can you make a body and 2 lenses fit, maybe even some extra batteries and accessories... sure, but none of it will be usable. The bag won't fit a body with lens attached unless you get creative. With that said, If you need a bag to hold your gear, ready to shoot, this isn't it. The Timbuk2 bag is made with quality materials, perhaps the Medium or Large bag might suit my needs better.

No more messenger bags for me

This is probably the last messenger bag I'll ever purchase. I use it everyday and I keep my Nikond7100, with sigma 18-35 1.8 attached, my tamron 70-200, my 50 1.8 with a flash unit and charger perfectly accomodated at home with the removable insert close. When i need to shoot i just empty my bag and put in the insert and im ready to roll. Really nice materials too!

Great Bag!

I have tried many bags, this one is the best I have found for run-and-gun. I am shooting with a Nikon D750 and the bag is a little tight so I download from my hard cases as needed. I would have given it 5 stars if it was a little bigger.

Versatile. Useful. Great bag!

I love this bag. So many options with all of the pockets and the removable liner! Took it to Europe and was so nice to be able to convert it from a camera bag right over to a shoulder bag and still keep my photography equipment organized. Highly recommend. Like all Timbuk2 products it's made of high quality materials and built to last. 10/10 would buy again.

Stealth Camera Bag

I like that it looks like just another messenger bag and not scream out as Camera Bag. I always liked Timbuk2 messenger bags and this bag has the same durable build as my work bag that I have been using for close to 10 years. Simple organization and having the velcro cover strip so that I don't announce to everyone around me that I am taking my camera out is a nice feature.

My favorite small bag I have every owed

1st message bag I have had that can wear like a normal backpack. It's very durable and fits tight on my back when waking or hiking. Waterproof material is great. Small, but exactly the point of it. I use for my daily bag. When I want my camera, I add the insert it came with. Fits my canon 5d mark iii with 24-105 lens with room for my 70-200 and can squeeze a flash (tightly)

Don't like it for my mirrorless setup

My situation: I have a Sony a6300 and the following Sony lenses: 18-105/4, 16-50, 10-18/4, and 35/1.8. Based on other reviews, I was expecting to like this bag, but I don't. Most of my issues are related to the insert. 1. The insert is pretty tall and deep. That means even my bulkiest combo (the camera, with a half-case that adds 3/8" to its height, plus the 18-105/4) can't help but swim in the bag, with an inch or more to spare in both directions 2. The insert back is stiff, which means that the insert as a whole has a lot of structure. This might be a plus for some folks but not for me, as it means I can't fit it into other bags (which was part of my rationale for going with the Snoop - I figured, hey, I can always use just the insert) because it is too firm, too wide and won't squeeze into anything other than the bag it came with. 3. The handle is not on the top of the bag when the insert is in it. It is only aligned with the top when you fold the top flap over pretty far without the insert in. Again, an issue with an overly tall insert. 4. The straps on the bottom would be useful if I actually wanted to carry something on the bottom, but there's nowhere to tuck them in if you don't use them - they just hang in a useless loop under the bag and contribute to a messy look. It's a shame given how sleek the rest of the bag looks. 5. On the plus side, the bag itself, with the bottom straps cut off and without the insert, will serve nicely as a regular messenger bag. At the price that I got it at from Adorama, I suppose I can't complain too much about it all. It's just a shame that I won't be able to use it for its intended purpose.

Perfect for walking around

This is a nice bag for walking around. I am able to fit a Sony A77 mark 1 with a 16-50, 55-300, and Minolta 50 1.7 in here, in addition to a pair of Sony Bluetooth headphones, Acer R11 Chromebook, a notebook, pens and some cables. All of that pretty much pushes the limit of what you can effectively fit, but even then it sits comfortably and I feel the weight is distributed evenly. I like that the camera section is removable and that you can use Velcro or the buckles, or both. I haven't used the front see-through pocket for anything yet as it's a weird size and I'm not sure what I would put it in. I don't have any serious complaints: it's a nice size and works well for what I wanted it for.

What I expect from a Timbuk2 bag

It has the look and comfort of a Timbuk2 bag, both of which I have long been a fan of. The insert fits perfectly, and holds my basic equipment quite well. In this case, a Nikon 750, big 24-300 lens, 50mm lens, SB-700 (with lightsphere) and cross body strap. Without the insert, it's a great medium-sized Timbuk2 bag.

Perfect for mirrorless Sony camera

Holds everything I need. lenses, accessories, extra battery, my note pad. I had the Snoop extra small but it was too small this one is just right for my a6000 kit. Really well made. Hidden feature there are straps for your tripod sewn on the bottom of the bag. Get one Adorama has the best price on these.
