Great item to use as a novice or occasional star watcher.

The item is of sturdy material. Great item for a novice. This was for my grandchildren and I didn’t want to have a lot of pieces they would find difficult to use. It was very easy to put together and has 3 lens to use. I like it came with its own full-size tripod and not a table tripod. I liked it the quality and ease of use so much I decided to purchase another.

Great Telescope with cheap mounts, unbeatable price.

The telescope itself is a 5 star because of it's price, but the the telescope and finderscope mounts are 2 star and the tripod is a 4 star. This is important for beginners to know because pointing this telescope to even find the moon is hard work using anything by the lowest power, but once you find it the image is just as good as a telescope that cost 4x as much. The problem is that a beginner can get frustrated quickly from not being able to find or follow their target. And if the person wants to they can buy a better mount for the telescope and finder at which point you'll have a 5 star telescope.
