The DA-3000SD's high-quality audio circuitry is engineered for exceptional AD/DA conversion. It features an EI core transformer with separate windings for digital and analog circuits, and a dual monaural configuration for the output audio circuit, ensuring a pristine sonic profile. The balanced configuration across all audio circuit stages minimizes noise on both input and output paths. Equipped with a TCXO (temperature compensated crystal oscillator), the clock generator achieves an accuracy of +/- 1ppm, eliminating jitter and ensuring precise digital audio processing.
Connectivity is a breeze with the DA-3000SD, thanks to its wide range of input and output terminals. It includes analog I/O ports via XLR and RCA terminals, PCM digital connectivity through S/PDIF, RCA, coaxial, and AES/EBU connectors, and DSD digital connections via BNC SDIF-3 terminals. This extensive connectivity makes it compatible with various studio equipment, such as audio interfaces, microphone preamplifiers, and dynamic processors.
Portable and compact, the DA-3000SD fits into a 1U rack space, making it easy to transport between studios for consistent, high-definition monitoring. Its WORD clock capability allows it to function as a high-precision master clock generator or sync with an external clocking device for phase-coherent audio.
As an A/D converter and recorder for mastering, the DA-3000SD captures stereo masters from a DAW at a higher resolution than possible with a DAW bounce alone. It can be placed in the signal chain after external hardware to capture the full audio coloration during the mastering process. For DSD multitrack recording, multiple units can be cascaded, enabling up to 16-track recording with eight DA-3000SDs.
Additional features include TASCAM's Auto File Save function, which automatically saves recorded data every 25 seconds to prevent data loss in case of power failure. The user-friendly interface, featuring a 128 x 64-dot OLED display and a 24-dot LED level meter, ensures easy operation and constant signal monitoring.
The DA-3000SD's full balanced circuit with dual monaural configuration eliminates interference between channels, maximizing sound quality. The renowned BurrBrown PCM1795 converters handle D/A conversion, supported by low-impedance capacitors and high-precision resistors, ensuring top-tier audio performance.
