Really well made bag that holds 2 Sony A7 Bodies/Lenses Nicely

I bought this because I often shoot with 2 Sony A7 series bodies so I had a need for a bag that would hold them, 2 lenses, a flash, and a few accessories. This bag looked like it would fit the bill and for the most part it does. It's built like a tank because it's Tenba and the whisper velcro is kind of amazing. I think it would be nice if it were just a touch wider so the bodies would slide in without bulging the sides. I'd also like the top zipper to open a bit wider to make the camera with atttached lens slide in a bit easier. Shoulder strap is comfortable and overall this is a pretty great bag

Tenba DNA 13 - WOW!

Like many photographers, I have my collection of camera bags. You know, all the ones you cannot live without at that particular time... Well, I just received this Tenba DNA 13, in beautiful Olive Green, and I can honestly say this now ranks as one of the finest bags I own! Spacious, intelligently designed, and executed using first-class materials! Bang! This hit all the right spots for my Leica Q AND I think I can also fit my X Pro 2 in it, as well! If you are looking for a messenger style camera bag that will provide you with the best quality case for your favorite camera, look no further. Grab one from Adorama at their incredibly low price!

Strong candidate for perfect bag

This bag ticks a lot of boxes for me: top opening for easy access, holds mirrorless camera with several additional lenses and/or flashes, lots of pockets, well designed, accommodates a 15” laptop, iPad, reasonably attractive and doesn’t look like a laptop bag. Fully loaded it can be quite heavy and dig into your shoulder but that’s up to the user. Closest competitor in this category, I think is the Peak Design bag which hits a lot of the same marks.

Best Messenger Style Bag Around

I absolutely LOVE this bag. I have a Vanguard backpack, and I bought this bag because the backpack isn't easy to get into without taking it off. This bag is perfect for walkin around the city or on shoots. I can pack 3-4 lenses in this bag plus my filters and extra batteries, cards, etc, not to mention my laptop, rainsleeve, cleaning kit and still have room for my wallet cell phone and keys. I haven't tried, but there just might be room for the kitchen sink :)

Big bag in medium package

Can fit a lot of gear plus laptop and pad. The quick zip top access is great for grabbing camera in the go

Well Designed and functional

For its compact size, this bag is hard to beat. Easily fits crop body DSLR, 3 lenses, flash, charger, cords and IPad with room for more. Easily fits under airplane seat. Top zipper makes for quick access to camera without fumbling. So much more practical than my backpack.

Tenba DNA 13

Great bag. Doubles as camera or messenger bag. Has padded insert. Has easy open access in top of bag that allows access to camera and accessories without opening the flap. Also has side mesh pockets for water bottle or other items. Plenty of pockets on flap for accessories like cell phone, external HDD, and keys and two internal back wall pockets for a small up to 13" thin laptop and a Kindle or iPad. In addition there is a luggage handle strap for carrying on rolling bag and an exterior back pocket for papers or files and writing utensils. There is a stabilizer strap that goes around body to keep back in place if using as a messenger when riding a bicycle. I only have 2 complaints. The first is that padded insert isn't wide enough to comfortably hold a pro level DSLR ( A99ii or A99v) with a grip. The second nit is the lack of a place for a tripod or even a monopod. Can't go wrong with this bag especially if use a Mirrorless camera system but if have a pro dslr body like me might consider the 15" bag. I opted for 13" to force me to pack lightly.

Good for medium lens attached

If you use it to carry a camera with 70-200 lens attached, you need top reconfigure the inside. otherwise it is good, very good bag. I got the DNA15 for bigger lens, this one for medium lens.

Great for a M43 Camera

When I just want to carry my camera and a lens or two, this is perfect. Very well made, and so stylish. The quiet velcro is a nice touch as well. Not silent, but better than regular velcro.

Great little bag for 3 lens Fuji kit.

I use this bag with my X-T1 and three small/medium size lenses and it works great. I can fit the camera with one lens attached and two other lenses. I can fit any three of these Fuji lenses: 18-55, 55-200, 23/1.4, 35/1.4, 60/2.4, 14/2.8. With the 55-200, things get real tight and it has to be mounted to the camera to fit two others, but it's doable. Without the 55-200, I could add the 27/2.8 as a fourth lens, but again, it gets real tight. I've also fit an X-E2 with the 27mm and the X-T1 with the 18-55, and that works pretty well. I thought the top zipper would be a nice discrete way to remove the camera quickly but I never use it because it's not as smooth as you'd think. The size of the opening is not that big so it's hard to pull out a camera quickly. I suppose with practice I'd getter better but I don't do it that way. Instead, I used some velcro strips to cover the velcro on the bag and I rely entirely on the two clips to hold the flap down. This makes it silent to open and close but it also makes it a little too easy for it to come open. I've never had anything fall out in three years but it's something I have to be careful about. I like that the strap can be flipped one way to have grip and flipped the other way to slide across your shoulder, works well both ways. Buying a camera bag this size is tough for a full-grown man that doesn't want to look like he's carrying a purse (not that there's anything wrong with that). This bag is definitely purse-sized but I think the styling helps keep it from looking too much like a purse. Still though, it' kinda looks like a purse. Oh well. Three years and it still looks and works like new.

Excellent Functionality and build

I've tried a number of bags over the years for my DSLR, multiple lenses, and accessories. This bag is made of excellent materials, very well constructed, and thoughtfully engineered. The top access zipper is clincher in my book and allows rapid, easy access to my camera without having to remove (and return) the bag from my back (e.g. backpack systems). Excellent variety of moveable pads for various lenses and configs. Numerous pockets allow storage of many types of accessories as well. Low profile, design, and color don't give it away as a camera bag either. Highly recommended.

Perfect for micro 4/3

So small and light, perfect for my Olympus EM5M2 with 12-40 2.8 attached. This is my typical walk about camera/lens, but when I travel, this bag will also fit my 9-18mm, 25mm, 40-150m. BTW even though it's supposed to only fit iPad mini, I was able to fit my regular size 10 iPad air as well. The top zipper access works as intended. Yesterday I was able to turn on the camera, whipped it out through the top opening and got my shot within 2 seconds.

Nice bag

I finally upgraded to a new laptop from the old m1330. Now I can use a smaller bag, like the dna 13. The alignment of the bottom pad In the laptop compartment is questionable. It's about the right size for a short outing. I have other bags if the kitchen sink is needed....

Awesome bag

Like most photographers, I own a closet full of bags (14 at my last count). My walk-around bag is a Lowepro Passport Sling, but I wanted something larger and more professional-looking. In my search for the perfect bag I tried (and bought) several others including Think Tank, Timbuk2, Peak Design, and some of the larger LowePros, but I kept coming back to the Tenba DNA. I've owned it now for 3 months and have used it on a dozen shoots, and it's by far my favorite bag. I'll still use the Passport Sling when I'm just out with a couple of lenses, but when I need to pack more gear I'll use the DNA every time.

Perfect for my needs

Unlike most of my photography related purchases, I bought this bag sight unseen when it was on special at a significantly reduced price. I got lucky and it fits my needs quite well. I use the bag as a place to store all of my Fuji X gear, and also when I travel "heavy" (i.e. all of my stuff). I have a much smaller bag that holds a lot less gear that I use when I travel light (e.g. one body, two lenses). The bag holds the following comfortably: - Fuji X-E2 body with Fuji 18-55mm lens - Fuji X-E1 body with Fuji 14mm f2.8 lens - Fuji 60mm f2.4 lens - Fuji 35mm f1.4 lens - Apple Macbook laptop - Four 58mm filters - Two spare batteries - SD card wallet - Microfibre cloth - Remote cable release - Joby grip tight mount (super small iPhone tripod) Favorite features: - Top zipper that allows quick access into bag. I won't look at a bag that does not have this feature. - Well designed padded insert. Offers good protection and is configurable. - Handle on top of bag. - "Goldilocks" size. Not too big, not too small. - Water bottle pouch. Frankly I don't think I'll go on many long hikes with a bag this big and heavy, but, I always like to have water when I shoot. Color is very subjective, but I like "Dark Copper" finish. The only con I think of is the list price, but for the price I paid, this is an easy 5 stars.

Well made, but a bit small

Very well made bag with easy opening magnets and full customizable interior. It fits my Fuji X-T2 with 2 lenses. I'm not sure that I have maximized the interior space as well as I might in the future.

Too small for my mirrorless

I bought this bag after reviewing comments that this is a good bag for the mirrorless camera. It turned out this bag was too small for my Sony a7R II camera and I returned it.

I tried many small bags but this one fit my Sony Nex with three lens. I purchased the long lens. I am happy the lens fit beautifully. It looks great and comes with a rain cover. I would recommend this bag.

Holds the big stuff

I bought this bag for several reasons. First I like a camera bag that doesn't look like a camera bag. I do this as a hobby and can't replace items if stolen. Second I wanted to be able to grab my Canon 7D (with grip) and attached 70-200 2.8 vertically out of the bag and shoot. This bag does it with room for a 24-105 f4, flash and 2x converter with room to spare. Third I don't like backpacks. Last the sumo in the ad makes me look skinny and I am all for that. I have not used it enough to comment on durablity yet. Will try to update after outdoor track season and with the weather now I will surly put it though a lot.

I would recommend this product to others

This bag is very well designed and a great value. I'm able to hold my 5D mk2 w/24-105 lens, 70-200 lens, flash and small tripod along with my ipad or 15" laptop. The magnetic clasps are cool. The top zipper access is very convenient you can access your gear without lifting the flap. Plus it has extra zipper pockets. The insert can also be removed to turn the bag into a regular messenger bag. A great value compared to other bags.

Tenba DNA 15 Messenger Bag is designed to provide the kind of year-round, all-weather, rugged performance demanded by New York City bike messengers, but with an interior that's tuned to protect delicate cameras, lenses and computer gear. A new tapered front flap combined with a sewn hinge ensures easy closure and excellent coverage at the corners. For additional wet weather protection, the bag includes a removable and reversible WeatherWrap cover that's silver on one side to reflect the heat and black on the other side for a bit more stealth and subtlety at night.

To prevent the bag from sliding forward while riding a bicycle or scooter, an adjustable security strap connects to D-rings on the back of bag which anchor it in position behind you. Fidlock patented magnetic clips allow blind, drop-on attachment and a fast unique slide release. This is the quickest clip in the world. The DNA 15 was built to accommodate a professional DSLR with 2-3 lenses. The rear padded sleeve will hold a laptop up to 15 inches and a second sleeve will protect an iPad or similar sized tablet.
