I wouldn't carry my lens in anything else, very rugged build and ease of use, and very convenient to carry a heavy long lens

A few years ago I rented a Canon 200 f/1.8 that was shipped in a Tenba case, and I've never forgotten how impressive and protective it was. (The lens was a treat, too.) I use the LL400 for a Canon 500 f/4 II, which fits it beautifully with hood reversed and 5DIII attached.

I got this bag because it was the one recommended specifically for my lens. That recommendation came both from Adorama and from Ken Rockwell. Well, they must know something that I don't because there is easily 6 inches of space at the top of the bag when I put the lens in. Even with a camera mounted on the lens, it is pretty loose. Not a probablem to stick in a bit more foam, but I would have expected it to feel a bit more secure. I would recommend the bag, but I would suggest that they decide which bag is the right size for their lens.

Popular with sports and nature photographers for years, Tenba's long lens bags have been updated and redesigned, with new materials and features, and re-sized to better fit the latest professional equipment. The new models have been upgraded with weather-sealed zippers, genuine Duraflex closures, seatbelt-grade webbing, accessory pockets and more. The generously padded and framesheet-reinforced main compartment cradles and protects any digital or film SLR body with mounted super-telephoto lens.
