Must-have gear for tethered shooting
This is a simple, low-profile way to keep your camera tethered while shooting hand-held. You can also mount a quick release plate on top of the Tether Block if you are working on a tripod or stand. I was using gaffer tape to secure my cable to my camera. This is a more elegant solution.

A Tethering Must
We shoot schools tethered and the cord tends to pop out and in the case of our Canon 7D, it destroyed the card and replacement was pricey. In other words, if you tether you will want this!!!

This protects your camera's ports and cable's terminals, USB or HDMI. It works well for tripod mounted or handheld, especially with longer cables.

Does the job, built well
The tetherBLOCK does a great job preventing the tether cable from being pulled out. I would recommend using a right angle tether cable when using this product. Using a standard cable can leave a loop in the cable which could get caught on something. Overall, I am very happy with this.

Does its' job
Protects from the cord being yanked and doing damage to the camera/camera connection. does its' job. I used it on a lens that has a tripod mount but if the camera had to be mounted on the tripod and you use a quick release (I do) then my only issue is that it makes the mounting onto the tripod a bit thick. May be fine but not sure. I will say with the lens mounted on the lens and the block on the camera it worked very well. Holds the cord just as it should.
