This is the most comfortable backpack, especially when used for a long day of carrying around photo equipment. It fits it ALL!! I had about three lenses, an iPad, 2 flashes and it was still comfortable on my back.

Just bought this bag and I am very pleased since I do not want to lug around a photo shoulder bag anymore. The camera section is just about adequate for a body with lens attached, 2 other normal size lenses, a flash unit and extension tubes - they all just fit in a nice removable section that folds out with one zipper for easy access - this is the only bag that has this feature and why I bought it. You will have to keep this main area utilitarian/functional. Most other stuff (cables, cards, batteries, filters)can fit in the two outside side pockets (which I wish were slightly longer and fatter) and the top flap pocket. If you have other stuff like water bottle, extra camera gear, light jacket and light lunch, they will fit in the top section and the laptop area - I don't lug a laptop on day trips. This is a perfect day trip photopack to take the place of a shoulder bag with a little added benefit of having extra room for whatever else you want to lug but without the ability to over pack. You will have to carry your tripod by hand thougth. I can't wait to put this through its paces.
