Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?MARK S : A sturdy, comfortable, weather resistant pack that offers ample room, exceptional protection, and flexible storage options. Great Backpack

This backpack offers good protection for gear. It is fairly comfortable for some distance fully loaded, but do yourself a favour by packing less, then arrive with a smile. Don't expect to pull a Pro-size body out the side ports with ease.

Excellent backpack-- very satisfied

Got this pack so I could take it snowboarding, and it worked GREAT! It was snowing a lot the first day, and the pack got pretty wet, but everything inside stayed dry (good thing bc I don't have a 1-series body). It was very comfortable to travel with. Fits easily under seats in airplanes, comfortable adjustments when carrying it, and it doesn't scream "steal me" either, since I got the Olive/Black color combo. There are TONS of straps. You will actually have to read the manual to figure out what all the straps are for. They are all useful, but they're not all obvious. After reading the manual I sat back and thought "wow, this is a serious pack." Thankfully, it's well thought-out. As mentioned by the other reviewer, there are limited pockets for accessories. There are two convenient pockets on the side, a semi-useful small pocket on the back, and two small inside pockets/sleeves. I was able to take all my primary gear, a second battery, battery charger, lens pen, SD card reader, and some other small stuff, so I guess it's enough storage space. The two side pockets are interesting. They actually provide access into the main compartment. Unfortunately they are not large enough to easily pull out my XSi (no way would you ever get any body out if it has a vertical grip). I haven't found myself using them much. All said, I'm very pleased with my purchase. I got it for a good price (a few bills below MSRP) from my local camera shop, and I am comfident that it will last me for many more years. Ideal for large lens and multiple lens.

This backpack exceeded my expectation for storing my lens and camera. The backpack is very protective of the equipment and comfortable to use. The main drawback is the lack of small functional storage compartments for such items as batteries and memory cards.

About Tenba 632311 Shootout Backpack, Medium, In Black/Olive

Tenba Shootout Series
An advanced collection of photo/imaging carry gear and accessories, aimed predominantly at serious outdoor/active photographers. The initial Shootout launch includes five Photo/Laptop Backpacks, a Convertible Photo Waistpack, a Rolling Utility Duffel and an accessory Lens/Bottle Caddy. These will shortly be followed by a full range of outdoor-oriented shoulder bags, photo/laptop messenger bags and accessories

Shootout was developed and fine-tuned by the company's in-house design team for over a year, with the specific goals of providing lightweight, comfortable, action-oriented packs and bags with a high level of protection, and innovative, pro-grade features. The additional challenge was to do it all with truly new, head-turning design and execution, so around and beneath Shootout's unique, curvy shaping and styling is the kind of attention to detail that customers have come to expect from a brand that has been focused on top-level shooters for 30 years. Key features (which vary by model) include weather-sealed zippers, convertible QuickAccess pockets, a new and innovative tripod carrying system, and Tenba's exclusive WeatherWrap auxiliary cover.

Shootout Backpacks
The flagships of the collection, Shootout Backpacks are offered in five simply-named sizes: Mini, Small, Medium, Large and Large Rolling. The size range covers every conceivable need, from day-trippers and vacationing enthusiasts to outdoor/commercial pros working on remote locations or expeditions. All sizes except the Mini include padded, frame sheet reinforced laptop compartments for computers up to 17" (depending upon backpack size). The Large and Rolling backpacks are suitable for lenses up to 400 or 500mm, depending upon specific equipment variables. All models incorporate easily customized, well-padded interiors, fully-adjustable harness/belt systems, and the fast-deploying, "Velcro-free" WeatherWrap auxiliary protection cover. The generous, padded side pockets feature interior panels that can be moved to convert the space from cargo pocket to QuickAccess interior hatches. This allows fast, easy retrieval of a lens or accessory without having to fully remove or open the entire pack. The Backpacks also feature a significant new innovation, dubbed "MSTC", for Multi-Stage Tripod Carrying system, which adjusts to securely and optimally carry tripods of varying sizes and styles.

All Shootout Backpacks and Waistpacks also come complete with "attachable" accessories one a media card wallet and the other a padded pouch for phone or portable audio player. The accessory cases are secured to the packs with clip-on security tethers, but can be removed and attached to various clip-on points on Shootout waist belts and/or shoulder pads.

Tenba also offers an optional Lens/Bottle Caddy, which can be attached to the same clip-on points and "self stows" when not in use.
