I have a Tenba 32L, but for my recent trips to Hawaii and Iceland,I decided a smaller bag would be easier - and force me to reevaluate what I was carrying. As it turns out the only thing that wouldn't fit was a large telephoto lens that I wasn't bringing anyway. The rain cover is on a tether that fits in a side pocket. The 32L has a memory card holder that works in the same way and I moved it to this bag. The internal divider system is easy to customize and the laptop/tablet slot in the top is easy to access. With the 32L fully loaded, it was sometimes difficult to get into the overhead bins on older planes, but very easy with this one. My only gripe - and this is for the 32L and this Backpack LE Small - the pulls on the zipper tabs aren't as robust as I would like. Fortunately, on this LE Small, more robust third party pulls are available. I'm not easy on my bags and this bag has held up very well and makes for easy access to all of my gear.

Well-made smaller backpack. Great when you do not need all your gear and the kitchen sink. I have larger backpacks that work well, but on projects when you need to keep you gear with you all the time, this lighter weight pack is perfect.

Lovely rugged backpack. Very comfortable to carry and even includes the rain cover it can hold tightly packed two cameras and 2-3 lenses, likely 2 depending on the size. Pockets inside are nice but could be imho transparent so it is easier to see the content. Overall great backpack unless you love to drag a lot of stuff with you

Protects equipment. Padding, shoulder straps and waist belt designed for comfort when carrying some weight. Ideal as a carry-on, but also a good camera backpack for outdoor photography, or otherwise.

Been looking for a backpack for all our equipment, found it! This bag is perfect. I can fit our D3100 with an 18-55 on it a D7100 with battery grip with a sigma 17-50 2.8 on it, an sb700 flash, as well as a 50mm 1.8 and 2, 55-300 lenses with space for all the little stuff too. Oh ya also fits my 13" MacBook Pro and with all that weight it's still balanced really nicely. High quality materials, highly recommend.

Fit D800, 24-70, 70-200 and 105 macro, plus speed light, filters and battery pack. Unsure about how to carry tripod, but it has two straps for that purpose. I have not, as yet, hiked with the backpack; that will be the real test.

I'm very happy with this Backpack. although I've only had it for several months, I've been very busy hiking and taking photos from wildlife to scenic areas.that being the case, I switch lens often quick access is a must the full length zipper and overall layout is excellent! The side pockets have plenty of room for extra batteries, filters, ect. The outer edge sides have a firm rugged support that I'm sure will keep my kit safe. In short a very well thought out product that I would gladly recommend.

I used the small Tenba Shootout Backpack for a weekend hike, taking my DSLR camera, 20 – 120mm lens attached, 80-400mm lens, and wide angle lens, with additional lens filters, battery, etc. I attached a tripod with a ball head to the outside and was delighted with the way it was able to carry the equipment with no discomfort and contributed to the ease it was to have access to the equipment. I had previously been used the sling type (one strap) and this was a major improvement and should have been added to my inventory years ago.

this is not a backpack for going around the city. Forget it... This backpack is ideal to hiking with your camera, lens, tripod and etc... It has a lot of straps...for shoulders, for wait, and for the chest and they make it cumbersome for using in the city...Excellent quality and very durable, but not for using in the city...I recommend if you want to camp or hike or go on a trip in the mountains or deep in the country...it is ideal for that.

I've only used this backpack once on a 5 mile hike to photograph 2 waterfalls and wildflowers. I brought one camera, 2 lenses and a tripod. It was very comfortable and had room to spare. The pack is well made and rugged. The only thing missing is a compartment for water. I will not use this pack for any hikes longer than 5 miles unless water is readily available for filtering.
