Expensive...but worth it. Very solid build and fairly intuitive design. Pairs easily and the signal is very stable. We use this at our church for sending service video signal to 2-3 outdoor TVs. The transmitter accommodates up to 4 receivers and it's nice to have both SDI and HDMI cross-conversion capabilities. Comes in a great case, too.

I'm using it for live production and it works perfectly with minimal delay! I've had no issues with dropouts and that's been through multiple walls. It's made so much better than the Bolt 300 I had previously.

These are amazing. They have scalers built in and come with SKB hard cases. They worked straight out of the case and have great video quality. Couldn't be happier.

I’ve tried other lower end wireless solutions but there were frustrating connection problems and horrific lag. The bolt 500xt is light years ahead! I had rented the bolt in the past but shied away from purchasing it due to cost. So when it dropped in price I snapped one up. Very pleased to have this excellent device in my kit.

Ones again Teradek hit again we obviously know why we when with this industry standard brand over an oder one . Teradek is basically a workhors . Will go for it eyes closed . Think about buying a 2nd dtap to lemo 2pin . The teradek one that comes in is good but obviously ultra low quality regarding to oder brand . we bought at Adorama an oder dtap to lemo for 49$ that is WAY higher quality than the original one for a quarder of the price . (That you see pairaid on our ursamini to Teradek) (Angeled lemo) But over all the Teradek product feels extremely hight quality build for the price we bought it ! Recommended Eyes closed !

Pros: It comes with just about everything you need for a solid kit and works exactly as you'd expect a Teradek to work. The connection is solid and apart from a bit of transmission noise only noticeable when using focus peaking I'm very pleased. It even came with a clear plastic zippered pouch to hold all the cables it comes with. Included 3D lut support on receivers is clutch. Having no external antennas on the receiver is great. Cons: It has almost everything you'd hope for in a kit except a second 2-pin lemo to p-tap cable. Including a wall plug to lemo instead of a second p-tap to lemo cable seems wild to me as the point of the Teradek for most is portability and flexibility. I'm much more likely to use the receiver on a handheld director's monitor or if mounted on a full-size production monitor powered from a battery plate on the back of the monitor. I'd rather have the second p-tap cable and buy the wall power cable if needed rather than vice-versa.

I've been working in the film industry for 7 years now and teradek came in and can be considered the industry standard. Their units are well built, have solid signal, and are overall a pleasure to use. I wish it would sell with better antennaes (something with a bit more range and strength than the daipole style) but other than that it's a damned solid system.

Great wireless option!

I'm using it for live production and it works perfectly with minimal delay! I've had no issues with dropouts and that's been through multiple walls. It's made so much better than the Bolt 300 I had previously.
The Bolt XT satisfies the needs of the most discerning professionals, from powerful software tools and rock-solid performance to smart power options and backward compatibility. Available with a maximum range of 500', 1000', 3000' or 10,000', the new Bolt XT line offers a professional solution for every budget. A key feature of the Bolt XT is its backward compatibility with Bolt 500, 1000, 3000, Sidekick II and 703 Bolt, giving users more flexibility building onto their existing systems or linking with others already on set. Unlike alternative wireless video systems, Bolt XT includes a unique AES 128 encryption algorithm to protect your video footage, ensuring that only authorized receivers can connect to your transmitter.
Each transmitter includes an HDMI, 3G-SDI and looping 3G-SDI output. Receivers feature an HDMI output as well as dual 3G-SDI outputs. While wireless performance is critical on set, so are practical mounting options that ensure optimal performance and a quick set-up. With the Bolt XT line, Teradek has added an integrated NATO rail on the receiver, several 1/4"-20 and 3/8" mounting points and an ARRI rosette on the transmitter to greatly improve available mounting options.
An all-new aluminum chassis further reduces the size and weight of the Bolt line, with receivers also allowing for integrated pass-through power. Available battery plate accessories include V- or Gold-mount, in addition to bi-directional Sony L-series or Canon LP-E6 plates on the Bolt 500 XT. Teradek has also replaced the internal antennas on the Bolt 500 XT transmitter with an external set to enhance wireless performance when operating in environments with large obstacles or heavy interference.
The Bolt XT, like the previous generation, is multicast capable up to 4 receivers and includes built-in cross conversion and Teradek's proprietary software utilities, including a manual frequency-selection tool, 3D LUT engine and a 5GHz spectrum analyzer to keep an eye on interference in your area.
