Patricia J : I have a new AD-800 and expected the amplifier/speakers to be within the player/recorder. How can we hear the cd's and tapes? Do we have to install an outside speaker system? And, those red and white jacks that plug in the back seem to have no outlets. All we have is a big black box with millions of buttons and 2 trays, a US port, and no sound.DENNIS S : Hi Patricia, you bought a cassette/cd player. It has no amplifier, using a patch cord plug rca's on coresponding colors to a tuner/amplifier. Audio out on TEAC to Audio in on tuner. You can connect to any existing sound system with speakers You are going to love the TEAC for a long time, it will surprise you with its versatility. DennisSTEVE D : This is a pro deck and there are no external speakers although you can add them via the external jacks on the back of the ad-800. Otherwise, use a headset via the "phone" jack on the front of the deck.ANDREW R : I'm not sure I understand your question. For audio output you would need speakers and an amp/tuner/receiver (or you can listen through headphones).
Shopper : hjow many watts does it put out?HARVEY J : It had NO amplifier, so therefore puts out NO watts. It only hooks up to a stereo amplifier which then connects to the speakers.
