Questions & Answers

Shopper : Can you record more than one cassette on the CD-R? Can you record just one song then change tapes and continue recording?HUGO M : I can't really answer that question in regards to the AD-RW900 because I exchanged it for the TascamCC-222SLMK2 immediately after purchasing the unit because it would not record to commercial Bulk CD media. It only recorded on Brand name consumer blankCDs. As for the recording , all units are restricted to 80 minutes recording time due to the CD media itself unless recording in the mpg3. audio format. They both allow mutiple rcordings of different tapes by simply manually putting the record DVD side on pause or stop, change tapes and continue recording.BRIAN F : Yes, you can record multiple tapes onto a CD-R. A CD (which must be a digital audio CD to record on this unit) will hold up to 80 minutes of recordings. You can stop the cCD, move to a different spot on a tape, or remove the tape and put in another tape. You can load a tape, then cue and review it until you are at the right spot to record onto the CD, up to the 80 minute point. You can even remove the CD and return to it later for more recording. This can go on until you manually finalize the disc. Once a CD has been finalized, it can not be recorded upon further. Finalizing also allows the CD to be played in other CD players, which you cannot do until it is finalized.STUART B : Yes you can. After you record your one song press stop. Replace your cassette with the next one you want and start recording again. The CD-r will start with the next track number (#2). You can do this over and over as long as you don't exceed the 80 minutes CD length OR finalize the CD.
ron s : what make CD-R does TEAC recommend for its audio-CD recording?ANDREW R : Unfortunately the owner's manual does not specify an particular brand. The only specific requirement is that CD-R and CD-RW discs need to have the "Digital Audio" mark on them.
Vic V : when you play a cassette do the peak meters variate up and down?JERRY D T : Please pardon my late response. The meter does fluctuate.ANDREW R : The user manual indicates that the level meter operates when recording to either CD or to cassette.
