I bought this unit about 6 weeks ago to connect to a turntable. The experience was most underwhelming. All ranges - low, high, mid were very much lacking any quality. I replaced it with a used Luxman from the 70's for less money and it provides what I had hoped for. This TEAC is headed to the garage or maybe my daughter can use it. Oh well.

Instructions should emphasise that the preset stations have to set in the 'stand-by' mode otherwise when you turn off the receiver you loose all of the preset settings. And that you HAVE TO use the remote to turn the receiver on and off because there is no 'stand-by' button on the receiver. The lettering on the Remote is extremely small and difficult to read. Buying this TEAC Receiver through Adorama is a great bargin.

Bought it for the sole purpose of connecting my turntable to my computer. It proves to be an excellent reciver; worth more than it costs.
