Great filter that I use shooting into the sun
I frequently take pictures at competition shooting matches and the sun can wreck havoc on my photos. I keep this on the lens 100% of the time and it tremendously helps me with glare. I do not get to choose my shots as they are determined by the match designer. So I have to use all the tools available to ensure successful photos.

Works Great & Protects my lens
I have this on my Canon Macro 100MM f2.8 IS USM lens. I used the lens and filter for an eyelash product shoot with a model. The photos came out great and the client is very happy. I bought it to keep dust off my lens and protect the front elements. So far so good. =)

First filter to think of
I always put a UV liter on each lens both for the filters beneficial effect and to protect the lens. I have Tiffen and Hoya filters on my old film SLRs and the Tiffen ones are a great value. I did pick up some "off-brand" filters once but threw them in the bottom of a storage bag. Tiffen filters are a great bang for your buck.
