It's a family tradition--Tiffen filters. First thing I put on a lens is a UV filter (latest 80-400 Nikon). Images have been clear & sharp with the filter in use. Good quality reliable filter that I use for lens protection. My inherited Rolleiflex twin lens has a full complement of Tiffen filters.

4 starts because I received a 77mm instead of 82 as ordered. I decided to keep it and use on a different lens. Seems fine for what it is.

Good product

This Tiffen UV filter no only provides general protection from dust, rain, scratches, finger prints and others hazards, it also reduces the bluish cast of daylight and helps to absorb ultraviolet light.  I recommend UV filters.

As with a real friend, a UV filter is there.

Exactly what to expect

Good option to protect a camera lens. Unfortunately it did not match the lens I purchased at the same time. So I haven't been able to use it yet.

Good protection

Threaded on smoothly onto my g70 lens. Then I put hood on, fit perfectly. I use it as added protection for the lens. Tiffen filters are great products.

Decent quality, cheap UV filter. Used exclusively for keeping a cap off my 67 mm lenses when I'm walking around and don't have another filter on.
