Shopper : on the Tiffen 77 mm filters it states they do not take a standard lens cap. what kind of Lens cap would I need then?Helen M : Because it is a wide angle filter, it is very thin and won't hold a cap. You have to remove the filter in order to use a lens cap. This is true for most wide angle filters. They are made extremely thin so that you don't see the rim of the filter in your shot. JEFF S : I think they mean it just won't hold a standard style lens cap. I don't know that there is one that it will take. I got the package free with a lens purchase and figured I'd try it and see if cap would work. It "kind of" does but not securely. I bought a Hoya to use for my always on UV filter. You also can't thread another filter on to the UV well.
