Experience the transformative power of the 67mm 80A Tungsten to Daylight Conversion Glass Filter, designed to enhance your photography by adjusting the color temperature of your light source from 3200K to 5500K. This filter is specifically engineered to correct the use of daylight film when shooting with standard household incandescent lamps, ensuring your images are always perfectly balanced.
The 67mm 80A filter boasts a filter factor of 2.4, necessitating 1 1/3 f-stops of additional light. This feature is crucial in managing the unique characteristics of all light sources, whether natural or artificial, that can impact color rendition on film.
Designed for use with films optimized for daylight or tungsten photofloods, this filter operates at 5500K degrees (daylight) and 3400K degrees (photofloods) on the Kelvin(K) color temperature scale. As a color correcting filter, it's expertly crafted to 'warm', 'cool', and correct for the myriad lighting variations you may encounter during your photography sessions.
The 67mm 80A filter comes with a 'filter factor', a measure of the light it absorbs. This feature is particularly beneficial for cameras with internal metering (through the lens), as they will automatically adjust the exposure. For those using external or handheld meters, this factor must be taken into account.
It's important to note that modern strobes (flash) are approximately 5500K and can 'overpower' household lighting. With daylight film, no filtration is necessary unless you're aiming for special effects. The 80 series filters are available in several strengths and most sizes, with other options including the 80B for use with tungsten photofloods and the 80C for use with clear flash bulbs.
Other useful color correcting filters in our range include the 85 series for tungsten film in daylight, the 81 series for a warming effect, and the 82 series for a cooling effect. We also offer the FL-D (daylight) for using daylight film in fluorescent lighting and the FL-B (bulbs) for using tungsten film in fluorescent lighting.
With the 67mm 80A Tungsten to Daylight Conversion Glass Filter, you can take control of your lighting environment and capture images with the perfect color balance.
