I bought this filter (along with others) to use specifically with Aerochrome Infrared film, I do not generally shoot with many filters but for this film its a necessity. Tiffen is a well known brand, I wanted good glass (without killing my wallet) because whats the point in putting crap glass in front great glass??? I am sure at some point I will also throw this on my lens when putting a roll of b&w through my camera as well. My only complaint is that Adorama shipped it in a bag so the cases got a little cracked but I will be putting these in another case anyways. Just think they should have either put the plastic air pillows in or shipped in a box :-/
