Great for the price. Put it on RF 100-400 mm lens and definitely cleared up the haze

I shoot at 5000' to 14,000' in the central Rockies. One of the problems at these altitudes is the hard UV and atmospheric haze that develops sometimes. I have used this filter for many years with great success. The filter was originally designed for use in aerial photography (shooting through long atmospheric paths through haze at altitude). It has a sharp cutoff at ~400nm rather than at ~360 or 370nm. Thus blocking the longer wavelength UV. This makes the filter ideal for high altitude pix. I would suggest it for anyone shooting in the mountains. I use it as an all-round UV and protective filter on most of my lenses.

The main thing it protects my lens and makes my colors more vivid. When I need all the light I can get through my lens it doesn't interfere with my f-stop.

Very effective haze-cutting, provides lens protection. Performs exactly as I expect Tiffen filters to perform, I've used them for over fifty years.

Cuts haze well, this stays on my lens for protection. I live in an upland valley, so haze is a constant problem.

Feb 2010 - ordered 2 identical filters and a new Canon lense; already have a Canon lense that needed a filter too. One of the Tiffen filters fit both lenses, the other did not fit either one. First filter had classic metal finish; second had new non-glare powder coat finish and that 'thickened' the threads so it would not screw into the lense! Not even the brand new lense that I ordered with it.[...]Until this is acknowledged and fixed DO NOT BUY this filter. And who knows what other filters don't fit. Good luck.

Take your photography to the next level with the 67mm UV-2A Haze-2A (Ultra Violet) Glass Filter. This high-quality filter is designed to absorb Ultra Violet (UV) light, a feature that is particularly beneficial for film, which is more sensitive to UV light than the human eye.
The UV-2A Haze-2A coating on this filter effectively reduces the appearance of haze or a bluish cast in your images, a common issue when shooting from high altitudes or long distances, especially over water. This makes it an excellent choice for landscape or architectural photography where clarity and color accuracy are paramount.
In addition to its UV absorption capabilities, this durable filter also serves as a reliable protective layer for your camera lens. It helps shield your lens from dust, moisture, fingerprints, and scratches, as well as potential damage from cleaning.
Despite its protective features, this filter does not absorb normal light, ensuring that it has no effect on the color or contrast of your images. This means you can keep it on your lens at all times without affecting the quality of your photos.
The Tiffen 67mm UV-2A Haze-2A (Ultra Violet) Glass Filter is part of a wider range of Tiffen Ultra Violet filters, each available in a variety of absorption levels and sizes. From standard UV protection to multi-coated options for extra flare protection, and even filters that combine UV with Tiffen's '812' warming filter, there's a Tiffen UV filter to suit every photographer's needs.
For those using wide-angle lenses, there's also a UV Wide Angle Thin filter available, ensuring that every shot you take is protected from the effects of UV light, regardless of your lens choice.
With the Tiffen 67mm UV-2A Haze-2A (Ultra Violet) Glass Filter, you can trust in the quality and reliability of a reputable brand while enhancing your photography with effective UV protection.
