5 star quality glass, exactly what I needed for my "walk around" 12mm lens. Except? 4 star because the last line of the small print says: no threads for lens cap. Took me a few days to get the external measurement (60mm) for a lens cap. So I'll up it to a 5 star when they bundle it with a lens cap, so it's really ready to rock as soon as it arrives. (Just bummed because I wanted to use it in a big photo excursion, and gotta have a cap!)

Great price, quality filter with no fringing or overlap into the picture. Does a great job on a 67 mm lens. Would definitely recommend it's use in the snow at this time of year.

Tiffen has been my filter of choice for years, so seeking a polarizer for my 16-300 Tamron zoom was easy. The more narrow ring seems to be ideal to avoid vignetting when at the wider angle settings.

I bought the filter so that I could have the SONy FE 4 16/35 wide open without any vignetting, and indeed there is none. On the down side there is no way to attach the lens cap in front of the filter so you need to h=keep the lens hood on for safety.

If price is a factor when buying a polarizer then this is a great choice.

Much better than the old filter I was using. No more vignetting. I should have saved my money first time around and purchased this one!

This is the perfect polarizer for my 17-70 f4 lens. The thin frame will not allow an image to vignette.

I purchased this filter for my 10-22mm wide angle Canon Lens. I did not notice any vignetting when shot at 10mm wide. The only cons I could find with the filter is that its threads are very fine and you need to be careful when screwing it onto the end of the lens, because I do believe you could accidentally cross thread the filter. You also need to be mindful when shooting with this filter because it does change the color of things such as the sky. You probably wont be able to walk around all day without adjusting the effect of the filter. I usually adjust it so the color of the sky is uniform and one part is not any bluer than the other. The last con would be because it is a ultra-wide angle filter it does not have threads for a lens cap on the front of itself, thus you will not be able to attach a lens cap to the end of the lens without taking off the filter. That is the catch, having a filter that creates no vignetting versus a non-slim filter which would create vignetting on a wide-angle lens. Apart from those three cons I love this filter although it is somewhat expensive it is worth every penny. It enhances the color of the sky and does a excellent job of reducing flare coming off of water and glass. If you are looking to shoot during the day, around buildings and maybe even at a place like a beach this filter will make your pictures look even better. All you have to do is remember to adjust the effect of the filter by twisting the end of it. I do use this filter with a lens hood as well. I would recommend this filter not only because of its great picture quality and construction but because it is a Tiffen filter and you know you are buying a quality product when you buy Tiffen filters.

I love polarizers. I bought this because I have been using this brand for a while. The price is right, tha optics is really good and allows you to change colors in your composition really quick. Don't need to wait to reach a computer to manipulate the picture. Easy to carry and install in an snap.

I purchased the Nikon 10-24mm Wide Angle Lens and was offered this polarizing filter at a discount by my salesman. I later learned that polarizing filters are not recommended for wide angle lenses because how they effect the color the sky. Do a search of the internet to see the effect for yourself. I returned the polarizer.

I purchased this for my Pentax K10. Lens attaches easily but you cannot attache the lens cover to the filter. You have to buy a lens cap that threads onto the filter. A lens cap that is designed for clipping on to the filter will not stay on.

Filter is not compatable with my Sigma lens cap cover. I have to be very careful in attaching the lens cover to the filter. The filter has a shallow lens thread that does not allow me to attach the lense cover to the filter quickly. If I am not carefull the lens cap will disengage.

I use this to protect an expensive lens. It does not interfere with color in my images.

I thought I would be able to use my lens cover over this filter instend of having to remove it after ench use. Normal lens covers do not work with this filter. Other then that, it's works great.

I bought this to use on my Zuiko 16-60 lens because the specs stated this filter would not vignette on a wide-angle lens. Sorry, not true - it vignettes. I'm not a happy camper. Expected better.

Works nicely kind of like polarized sunglasses would work for a person. It is a filter I do like putting on my lens regularly,it does help in bright light conditions. One thing I did not like about the filter is that it seems to get stuck to the lens easily and I would find myself rotating the outer ring of the filter to free it from the lens. It also states on the packaging that it is warranted for 10 yrs that is a plus.

I used the filter on a recent trip to photograph waterfalls. It cut the glare off the water. It mounts securely once the threads are lined up properly, but because it is so thin it is hard to get the correct alignment. There is vignetting on my 17 mm lens when used over another filter.

Works just like it should, takes care of the vignetting that I was getting with a thicker filter.

Thin mount means that it won't vignette when my lens is zoomed to its widest angle (16mm, in this case). Effective at a good price.

The polarizer cannot be used with my other 67 mm filters--it's either/or & therefore inconvenient.

Polarizer filters give you several key creative features.
They evenly increase color saturation of all colors (except black and white), creating deep, rich scenics.
They add contrast for dramatic skies and ariel shots.
They eliminate the whitish glare from highly reflected surfaces like glass and water.
Polarizers are two part lenses that rotate, allowing you to select the degree of additional saturation, contrast and glare reduction desired.
Tiffen polarizers are offered in standard and warm versions. Warm polarizers add Tiffen's exclusive 812 warming filter, giving portraits and scenics a warm and muted feel while retaining rich coloration.
Polarizes come in two types:
Circular -- for all types of cameras: required for beam splitting metering systems commonly found in auto-focus SLR's and in most curretn TTL Slr's.
Linear -- for older metering systems.
Tiffen polarizers are available in the follow variations:
Standard Linear.
Standard Circular.
Warm Circular -- polarizer plus 812 warming filter.
Wide Angle Circular -- a thin filter designed to avoid vignetting at the edges from larger wide angle lenses.
Note! Tiffen wide-angle filters have low profile rings to prevent vignetting which can occur when using standard filters on ultra wide angle lenses. They do not have a front thread, and can not accept standard snap on lens cap.
