Love them.
I have a set of Cooke Panchro S2 lenses that I've used for years on everything from feature films to commercials. They're amazing. But, I got a BMPCC recently and wanted to recapture some of that warm glam glow the Panchros bring to my imagery. It's obviously not the same, but these filters really do bring just the right amount of character to the image giving it warmth and a slight glow that I was looking for. I liked them enough to buy a backup set should anything happen to the first.
Good manipulation
Really fun to work with this filter, won't be appropriate much of the time, but wonderful when the lighting is right!
Tiffen's Warm Black Pro Mist filters offers the Black Pro Mist 'atmosphere' in either portrait or landscape with the added features of Tiffen's exclusive 812 warming filter. Contrast and sharpness are softened and diffused with a moderate reduction of lighting in the shadow areas. This motion picture effect generates a pearlesent halo around highlights.
It is often used to warm and tone down the excessive sharpness and contrast of contemporary film and lens combinations.
Warm Black Pro Mist filters are available in most sizes and in grades 1 to 3, with grade 3 having the most effect.
