Tiffen IR ND filters do not have a sharp cutoff at the infrared wavelengths; therefore the wide color gamut these sensors record is not compromised. The result is vibrant colors and no IR contamination, with crisp clean images that only Water White glass can deliver. These filters also provide a greater latitude when editing in post production and are ideal for 8 byte compressed color.

Well made

Did a test shot. WB set to sun. Focus set to manual. Aperture set to f/16. ISO set to 200. Mounted on tripod with shutter release cable. No filter - the shutter speed was 1/30 sec. With filter, shutter speed 2.5 seconds. Approx 6x exposure time, which matches advertised ratio of 1:128. HOWEVER, the shot with the filter had a decided greenish-aqua color cast. This color cast can be removed easily in post processing.
