Lasted less than 1 year. The wiring inside the USB connector is loose and the fans won't work. Tried to get it warrantied but, they require you to pay shipping UPS or FedEx to get it back to them and then they send you a new one. $25 shipping for a warranty on a product you can buy all over for $35. Horrible warranty and reliability.

It would have been a good chill mat if it hadn't been damaged in shipment. There was a big hole and rip in the box and a plastic piece was snapped off the upper right hand side of the chill pad. The mat must be somewhat tough because looking at the box it should have had much more damage on it. It was surprising how little packing was in the box. Otherwise, I believe it is a good strong chill mat.

I purchased this a number of years ago. And the first thing I did was disassemble and flip the fans over so they blow air into the intake. Instead of drawing air away from the intake. It makes no sense to me to have the CPU fan drawing air through the intake while the "Chill Mat" is pulling air away from the intake. The fans were effectively fighting each other. I'm about to remove the original fans, integrate a USB hub and install higher flowing/quieter fans. One of my laptops has (2) USB ports. Which makes things a little inconvenient at times.

My gaming laptop is well equipped with fans already so I was never worried about cooling issues of my hardware. My PC's fans are plenty powerful, and if manually turned up to maximum effort sound like a f18 powering up to take off the carrier deck. So needless to say, my computer stays plenty cool even under heavy gaming. The max I've seen is 85 degrees out of my GPU. But I along with my wife was concerned with the heat's effect on my little swimmers.. A laptop running at 85 degrees Celsius isn't necessarily comfortable sitting on your lap, and definitely not good for the crown jewels. With this chill mat, it's a win-win situation for me. I keep my laptop a few degrees cooler and get to keep my fertility. The added bonus of the comfortable angle is nice too.

Reasonable price. Good size. Comfortable. Cooling fans work well, not too loud. Adequately sturdy so far, but hard to judge in the short term. Laptop slips off surface too often. Raised tabs need to be bigger to keep laptop securely on pad. Other than that, meets my needs and expectations.

Chill mat is a novel way to keep the underside of my laptop from overheating after being in use for a period of time. I had my HP Chrome motherboard replaced recently and a possible cause of damage was heat. The underside of my Chrome got pretty hot after a while. I will let you know in a few years if the chill mat is effective.

The Chill Mat works, but the fans are loud. On the bright side, they are of a lower pitch than the fan in my Dell Precision 3551, so the net effect is a marginally less acoustically annoying, and certainly cooler, laptop.

I got this a month ago and wasn?t completely sure if I would use it that often...but i was so wrong. Being a remote student you can imagine how long I am using/ on my computer each day, and when I got this pad it made using my computer so much more bearable. This pad not only gets the computers at a more comfortable position/height for me when sitting down, but it also helped stop the burning sensation when my computer would inevitably over-heat. Overall good product, wouldn?t say it?s necessary but if you can get your hands on it, it?s super useful.

This chill mat is used for a large gaming laptop, that is still very new. When not in use, the usb cord is tucked into a special spot in the unit it's not just laying out there. It looks as if you can plug the usb into either the left side of your computer, or the right. The bottom of this chill mat is neoprene so I havent had any issues with it sliding away from me on the desk, so that is also a perk compared to chill mats I have had in the past. It is not very quiet, but it's not what I would call noisy either. It sounds just barely louder than the typing of the keys. It has been doing it's job. One thing that I was really surprised about was the fact that even though my laptop was closed and asleep (not shut down), and thankfully plugged in, the chill mat was still going. When I opened my laptop to start up, it turned off for a split second, then ran again. So this might be something that you keep a look out for if your computer is running but not plugged in.

I got this as a "just in case" kind of thing. I didn't think I'd actually need it too much but recently my husband's computer just completely blacked out and stopped working out of nowhere and he was freaking out trying to figure out what was wrong with it. And I suggested he put it on the cooling mat cuz he was working outside so I thought maybe it had gotten too hot. So he brought it inside and used the cooling mat and he said within a few minutes his laptop had cooled down to the point it was working again and he was very relieved to not have to go out and replace something so expensive.

This is super easy to use by plugging right into my laptop. I love that it keeps it cool while also giving it a little bit of height on my desk. It is so minimal too that it doesn't call to much attention to it being there.

This is a very useful device! It has helped me with the pain in my wrist when I am typing on my laptop. I like how I am no longer worried about my laptop overheating when used for an extended period of time.

I really enjoy using this Dual Fan Chill Mat. It's sightly tilted for easier typing, soft, keeps my computer from over heating and my legs cool. There's a nice little piece that holds the usb connector for the fan which I thought was very smart and useful!

I work from my couch all the time and when I run any intense programs my computer immediately heats up, which isnt good for the "boys" by the way. If you constantly sit with your laptop in your lap, you should get a chill mat. Great for the computer by keeping it cool and keeping yourself cool as well.

The Targus Laptop Chill Mat makes working on my laptop so easy and comfortable. Setup is as easy as 1 2 3, just put your laptop on the chill mat with the incline up and plug in the USB into your laptop and your done. My husband is a writer and likes to spend a portion of his time writing on the couch. He used to use a throw pillow to keep his laptop off his lap and to prevent the blocking of the internal fan vent. This chill mat is great! He now has a flat surface to place his computer that is also keeping the laptop cool. And I am now less annoyed that he?s using a throw pillow for an unintended use. The only drawback is that it will be hard to pack for travel as it?s bigger than the laptop itself.

So I got this product a couple weeks ago. I absolutely love the design of it! I have a chromebook which it fits perfectly! It's not super heavy. The padding could be better but its comfortable & sturdy.

I?m at very happy with this dual fan chill mat. The size is perfect for me and it is very comfortable to have on my lap for extended periods of time. The fabric top keeps my computer from sliding all around, the fans keep my computer cool but they don?t suck the life out of my battery. That?s a huge bonus. The fans are quiet and almost barely noticeable. This unit is very durable as well. I?ve dropped it a few times (oops and it barely has a scratch on it. I?d highly recommend this product.

This is the second one I have owned of this particular model. The first one lasted a few years before the fans quit. Had a couple different brands and kinds since then and just didn?t care for them as much. This one remains my favorite and i was happy to have found it again.

Great lap mat! Love how this mat protects your lap and is comfortable at the same time! It has a memory foam like cushion for comfort that is very nice for sitting on you polar for long periods of time while working from home. My computer no longer gets extremely hot! I love this mat and it serves its purpose! Highly recommend.

I have a 17 inch laptop that is so heavy to lift at times. It get so hot underneath when on my lap and I hate putting it on pillows at home because it makes it even hotter. I was so glad when I got this. No no over heating problems and is a great lap desk. I only wish it was a bit taller. I have another lap desk that is about 5 inches tall but no fan.
