Small price to pay for that peace of mind... spills happen!
My first AD200 smashed by falling backwards maybe the 3rd time I ever used it. THAT was an expensive mistake, one that now will never happen again. Most of the time I have an assistant (my daughter) but when I don't, this offers peace of mind! In the last year my light has fallen DOZENS of times and still works perfectly. Because of the design it lands and bounces, so the outside is fine and absorbs the shock, too, for the insides!
Brilliant Protection
This is a no-brainer, honestly. The smaller silicone fender that Godox makes doesn't provide the protection this one does. Not even close. This one is pretty bulky but the advantage is two-fold : it provides a shade for the controls on your AD200 and is great protection in a fall. You don't have to be a clutz for your light to take a hard tumble. So why not avoid the expensive mistake of having no protection when you can get this for a few dollars.
