My First bag!

This was the first bag I ever purchased from Thule. Used it for years and now my brother uses it. Incredible bag!

longevity disappointment

I got this backpack just over a year ago and it worked awesome for the first 6 months, loved how everything fit (including my giant 17 inch laptop) and how comfortable it is. After the first 6 months one of the zipper seams came unstitched. Then 6 months later one of the buckles/plastic adjusters on a strap broke. I did a decent job with some superglue, but it makes me nervous to use. Then shortly after inside mesh pockets started to come apart. I've really liked this back pack and am bummed that it didn't last longer. My last backpack (not Thule) lasted over 4 years and I paid ALOT less.

Why does the Accent 23L carry more than this??

I was between this pack and the Accent 23L for Work/EDC. I always say that the perfect bag doesn't exist but it's not because it can't be made. It's because most companies such as Thule would rather have 20 mediocre packs instead of specializing in a few GOOD ones. Look at this and the Accent 23L for example, The smaller bag can carry my 15.6'' tablet but the bigger one can't? The Accent also lacks the extra organization pocket that this one has and instead it has a lame side pocket to shove stuff into. This one has a separate organization compartment like every bag should, it also has a better top pocket and better back padding while the accent just has a pretty useless "hard shell" removable case on the already hardshell pocket. This one would make a good work bag but then instead of making it black, it's dotted? The only reason I don't return the 23L is because I got it on sale and it came with a small tech pouch that helps alleviate the severe lack of organization. If Thule would design fewer bags but instead put more thought into the purpose of each one, they would be the best company by far.

Lots of useable spaces, bad quality

Have been using this bag for 2 years, lots of useful places for laptop, sunglasses and other items however in the last month the zip has officially come loose from the bag, a problem I see all of these have. So avoid.

Durable

I had my last Crossover for 8 years, and carried it everyday. No question what I was getting when the time came to replace.

Nice big bag, but has to be full or crumples

I love the exterior and the whole over all look and features of the backpack. But unless the bag is full it really crumples and doesn't stand up like I felt it should. The problem this creates is making it difficult to easily zip and unzip compartment zippers and the hook will become loos and unhook in front of the bag, see pic. There is ample room and padding for laptop and ipad in the pc holding area. It will support a 17" laptop which I don't need and makes it feel like the bag is too tall for what I wanted. This bag feels very tall and even so for me while I am 6' 4". There are a lot of places/compartments to put various items in that are handy for batteries, cards, etc. If you want to take a lot of stuff then this is the bag for you.

Great backpack with big issues

I'm a full time employee, full time student and I work on film sets on the side. I require a lot out of a bag. Having said that, I like this backpack. I really do. I've heard great things about Thule's quality, and it is a well deserved reputation. This Crossover is made of tough material that I'd take on my toughest adventures. But the pack is poorly executed and the capacity is seemingly nowhere near 32 liters. I originally had an Ogio Renegade RSS as a daily driver a good pack for technology, but not very tough that I was upgrading from because it only held 27 liters and when I joined a major film set, I needed room for work, school and film essentials in one bag and the RSS would hold everything but some of my film stuff. Unfortunately, when I got this 32 liter Thule bag, it wouldn't even hold my work and school gear without filling up to its max. I don't know if there is variance with how capacity is calculated by manufacturer, but my Ogio can hold 25% more than this bag can despite being a smaller bag. And at even a modest capacity, the front accessory pocket becomes unusable and incompliant due to the contents of the main pocket pushing on it something the Ogio never did even when stuffed. Overall, the style, build quality and choice of material is good, but the overall execution is flawed and the capacity claims are misleading. Still, I was impressed enough by this pack to return it and get a Subterra 34L. Having said all of this, if you arent going to be relying on using all 32L of space in this thing, this will likely be a good buy for you. But if you're in the 95th percentile of extreme backpack users needing something a bit more serious, this is not your bag. It just doesn't cut it.

Poor quality, broken zipper

The backpack is a nice size and compact. It stores a 13" computer comfortably and has a good amount of compartments. However, the main zipper has already broken within a year of purchase, and the customer service dept. is only willing to offer a discount on a future purchase. I was expecting a more durable bag for the price tag and wouldn't recommend this backpack.

Poor quality product, unlike other Thule products

Very poorly made and appears to have no quality control. Stitches are already fraying even before I start using it. Do not buy it

Amazing product! Absolutely love it!

It is a very snug book bag, and can fit everything well without having materials move around and get damaged (books). This, however, has turned out to be a small problem because it cannot fit pants dress shirt and a blazer inside (book bag will not close). This is a minimal problem, because, when I change clothes and put my entire dress clothes in the book bag the book bag can close but it is difficult as it becomes really bulky and round. Overall I have been really pleased with the sturdy design of the product, it fits two macbook pros and an iPad along with 3 subject notebooks and a book.

Great all arounder

I have used this pack daily for about two years. Big enough to use for an overnight trip without using a carry on.

The Best Book Bag I've Ever Owned

I have owned this product and used it for school almost every day for the past 4 years. It has lasted through everything until recently it got a small rip in it. I emailed Thule and they immediately sent me a replacement. They are easy to work with and so friendly. I recommend this product to everyone I know.

Excellent Quality, Wears Well

An excellent bag constructed from quality materials with clear thought put toward pocket placement and sizing. The major downside of the bag is the "Stuff it" pocket and the metal buckle on the front, though it feels quality, it tends to come loose. I regularly carry three laptops, their power bricks as well as an assortment of electrical tools with ease. I've carried this bag for 2.5 years daily and it does show some wear in the "smalls" pocket in the front. The exterior remains in excellent condition showing very little wear despite my general mistreatment. Overall, this bag is head and shoulders above every other bag I've owned (including two high end name brand bags.

Functional but flawed

Great bag design and easy access for commuting and at work. However, the main zipper compartment came apart from the rest of the bag and I am currently awaiting a warranty exchange or refund. It seems like others have the same issue.

Zipper Malfunction

Zippers didn't work properly when zipping closed since day 1. I struggled with this for over a year in the main pocket until the front pocket zipper broke. Exchanging for a new one, hopefully this one works better.

Zipper issue as well

Generally happy with this backpack, but the main compartment zipper broke yesterday, after less than a year since I got it. I will be starting a warranty claim today to have it replaced.

Six years with this bag LOVE

I have had this bag throughout my undergraduate and graduate career. After five years, countless trips, and six years of use my bag is still going strong. I would highly recommend this bag to individuals looking for a durable, medium sized bag. It is perfect for students and travelers!

Replacement Bag

Great bag at the right smaller size for traveling. Internal zippered pockets great for money, passport, valuables. If I knew how to sew I would have repaired the one I had instead of buying an exact replacement.

I have the same issue that Traveler pointed out. The zipper has failed for the second time just now. Thule support has been great throughout this process though. I am working on exchanging the bag I have now.

Solid Pack For Work

Overall this is a well organized pack that has plenty of room for everything you might need for a work trip. The fabric feels very durable, but is also stiff. The pocket for sunglasses is a great feature, although the sleeve for a phone won't fit the larger models on the market today.
