This is a great bag and has worked well for me but I hope Thule can evolve this bag with some criticism I offer. Even though I have issues, I love the bag so much I'd buy it with it's flaws as well again. Pros: The canvas, zippers, clips, straps are all high quality material that have never failed me. Cons: The rubber material at the base of the backpack began to fail after a year. I believe it may be welded with emf waves. It never folded out right to begin with and hurt the appearance of the bag. Once I noticed a hole I tried to only put things that would not fall threw, but over the course of a couple of months the seams have given out on one side. I have only about 4/5 of the seem still in tact and only put a highly compressible sleeping bag in this area now. The vertical zippers that open up the main area of the bag are convenient but can creep up or down. If zipper is zipped down and the zippers creep you risk loosing something. If you zip them to the top and they creep down you may loose something at the top of the bag. A simple hack is to use a carabiner and clip the vertical zipper with the main top zipper or a lock if you want some security. The stretchable mesh side pocket is great to stuff things in and will hold them well. But I wore it out by putting a couple of water bottles in it and sometimes 24 ounce cans of beer. But hey, for a year it was super convenient putting that beer and water in there. Hopefully they can strengthen that very cool pouch. This bag should not be worn in the rain or snow if you have a laptop inside. Even if it's light rain or snow. Snow made it easily through the top of the bag and into where the laptop was. Rain will do the same. Hopefully Thule can fix these issues and keep the really cool look of the bag.

Really love the design and functions of the bag. All compartments were really water resistance except the one behind the daisy chain. (Again, tried and tested in heavy downpour, laptop and main compartment were bone dry). The back ventilation can do better as you'll get a sweaty back after 30mins of wearing especially for someone like me who lives near the equator (Singapore). The only down side is the rubber material at the bottom is not that durable considering it split open after 2years of wear. If only they could make the rubber bottom more durable. Overall loved Thule line of backpacks! (My Mosey daypack is still in usable condition well after 4years!) Only wish if they could remake and improved Mosey daypack line into IPX4 rating.

Used this bag lightly for about 2-3 yrs, meaning once every other week. The rubber base is glued on and that eventually came apart, leaving a gaping hole where some of my things fell out unknowingly. Own many Thule bags and expected better

Very well design and have been using it since 2016 but I have a defect zip after using for a few months but Thule got my bag replaced. But after using till last year saw the rubber based have a hole perhaps the glue or weld is not strong enough. And this bag I didn't put any heavy stuff but Might give Thule a try again!

I own Paramaunt backpack for almost a year. It is well made backpack with great looking exterior. However, there are few things about the back that I don't like: 1) the volume - while the spec sheet claims that it is 29L in volume, I can hardly use it. As someone mentioned in another review, Paramaunt is very tight and if it's fully packed, then you will have a hard time using all the pockets. 2) the robber bottom does pull my clothes up/out of pants. During 15 mins walk I'm pulling my jacket down 2-3 times - it's annoying and doesn't look good 3) laptop fit - I have multiple laptops. While 13-15 MacBooks fit perfectly, my Lenovo W520 doesn't fit in well. I wish the laptop section had a bit more space. If I have a choice - I will go with a different model,. While it looks big and bulky outside - it doesn't provide much needed space inside for your use.

Based on 1 month's experience, I'm quite satisfied with this bag. Except for a few poor design choices this bag is way better than my previous one. Overall, at this point I think the good points outweigh the bad ones by far. The good: 1. Bag looks great (my wife likes it too). 2. Solidly built, strong and thick materials. 3. I'm impressed by the high quality and workmanship. 4. Back plate is smooth. My previous bag's back had a rough mesh that damaged my clothes. 5. Acceptable number of pockets / thingy holders. The not-so-good: 1. Bag's tight 1. If the main compartment is fully packed, it becomes fairly difficult to add things to the other pockets too. More so than in other bags I had. 2. Bag's tight 2, compartment with meshed pockets. While the top part can be folded down for easy access, this compartment is tall and narrow - you'll feel around with your hands for a while to find anything on the bottom because you can't see in there. Same goes for the outermost pocket just under the glass-holder one. 3. Side openings invite pick-pockets. This is luckily not a problem in Japan, where I'm using the bag. 4. This bag looks much bigger than my previous 31L bag, but it holds considerably less, due to not optimal space allocation and the overall narrowness/tightness of the bag. The Bad: 1. The rubber bottom tugs my shirt/sweater up, very quickly up until the middle of my back! It's so sticky it even pulls my shirts out of my trousers. It's very annoying to have to adjust my clothes constantly. 2. Bag's tight 3. The top opening of the main compartment is so narrow, I mostly just use the side zipper for packing. Why have such a useless opening at all? 3. Laptop compartment's velcro tape opens up! The moment I put the bag on my back, with a 14" laptop in the compartment, as my back pushes into the backpack I can immediately hear the velcro tape's noise as it unfastens. Happens all the time. This is a very poor design choice folks.

I love this bag much more than I thought I could, and more than I have loved any piece of gear. There are so many compartments for organization and easy access. The side zipper to the main compartment is much handier than I thought. It's a comfortable bag, even with quite a heavy load, the sternum strap is great. It is a little narrow, but that's because I try to stuff a million things into it. It's held up great, and I've used it for cycling commuting, transit commuting, and at school. The interior waterproofing looks like it's wearing off a bit, but I'm not too worried about that since the top flap is waterproof. The laptop compartment is padded and comfortable. Lots of great options for carabiners/securing your gear. It also looks great, very urban and technical, and functional.

This is the perfect bag for zipping through airports or the daily commute. It's well-made, tough, roomy, and has a lot of useful features and pockets. The side-access zippers are really great. I'm very happy with it.

The intelligent lay out makes getting to my things supper convenient. My favorite feature is the external zipper that allows for quick access to my laptop. This bag is brilliant!

My 2nd Thule pack and although I was pleased with my first, this one is excellent. Excellent for everyday work bag and all around travel bag. Very pleased with construction and function.

Use this bag every day, it's really useful. Thanks Thule for your great job! Used this bag in Siberia, was afraid the down side of this bag could break, because outside was -35, but it's not problem.
