I literally just had a power outage. It keeps my expensive computer equipment safe and I have so much peace of mind knowing that I am protected against the unknown. Also the two USB ports are a great addition.

I'm using one of these already for our main home entertainment system and another for my workstation. I can fit all my electronic devices' plugs in it, although, due to oddly-shaped adapters, I can't use all 12. On the other hand, I still get to plug those devices in and keep the whole setup protected *because* the layout of the receptacles allowed me the room to plug those odd plugs in! I have nothing bad to say about them function-wise. I'll definitely grab more as needs arise. If there were a bit of a bummer, it's one that probably will never come up: Despite having a higher level of protection (4320 Joules) than an older Tripp-Lite surge protector I use (2880 Joules), the insurance covers $100,000 less. The older, less-protective product insures for $250,000 while this one is insured to $150,000. Again, I seriously doubt this'll ever actually be an issue. And, anyway, I don't have anywhere near $150,000-worth of electronics in the whole house by a longshot. A very very long longshot. :)

Several years ago, the first Tripp Lite surge suppressor I used had 6-outlets and a steel case. I purchased one for home use and wasn't sorry. Tripp Lite products are quality made and unlike some other brands come with long power cords and several protected outlets. Tripp Lite is the only brand I buy.

Great unit. Slim design and light weight. Having 4320 joules is what sold me. That's outstanding protection at a very reasonable price! As well with two USB ports makes this a winner!

Some of the outlets are spaced out so I can fit bigger plugs easily.

Got this to protect some sensitive electronics I'd recently purchased, and have no complaints. I especially like how it'll disable itself one it's no longer able to provide protection, since that was a concern I'd had about surge protectors before doing research. It offers plenty of room for various plugs and configurations, though I wish Tripp-Lite offered more models with this level of protection (especially for smaller spaces and with extra USB/USB-C ports) but this works perfectly for most applications.

I use this as the cornerstone of my entertainment setup. I use it to power my TV, PS5, AppleTV, home theater receiver, and cable modem/router. I haven't had to use the insurance yet but I'm glad to know it's there.

Love the indication lights for it being grounded and protected. It's got a ton of sockets, usb ports, and other inputs I'll probably never end up needing, and the price was pretty good. It's worth the peace of mind, as about 50% of my net worth is ultimately plugged into this surge protector in the form of expensive electronics.

This is a great product. I think this is the device you need if you're looking for a surge protector with the highest level of protection (more joules mean more protection), which is what I was looking for when I got it. I'm using it to protect my air handler, which is my heating device (a train heat pump). I am very happy with the price, which is just right, and the shipping was very fast. I don't think I actually need the telephone, modem and coax hookups, but it does have the large amount of Joules I was looking for. The plugs and the size are good. For my purpose, one plug connection is all I need.

We recently installed new routers and other equipment from our new internet company and they recommended TripLite surge protectors. I love it because you can plug anything into it.

Use surge protector for my computer and electronic devices. I like the fact that it has wide plug space for those plugs that are wider. I liked it so much I purchased another one identical to it for my Home theater in the living room.

A true space saver as well as a surge protector. All 12 of my electrical plugs could be fitted onto the Tripp. Worth having this.

I've had it less than a month, so I have no idea how it will hold up over time, but it feels solidly built. I mounted it on the underside of my desk, and it has plenty of outlets for my PC, multiple monitors, and my 3D printing setup. Having over 4000 joules of protection may be a bit overkill, but it is great peace of mind. Would definitely recommend!

Replaced an old UBS, and decided no longer needed the backup capability, but rather a few more outlets. This item works for my needs and takes up less space. Seems to be quality build. Will recommend to others.

I live in Texas where we have an unreliable power grid, so I purchased the 12-outlet Surge Protector to safeguard my vintage stereo equipment: Carver Power AMP and PreAMP, two Nakamichi tape decks and a Denon DP-59L turntable. I searched for a reasonably priced surge protector, with at-least 4000 Joules and insurance coverage, and was thankful to find this device from Tripp-Lite. It really works! No BS!!

Good build quality. Receptacles not hard to place plugs in like some reviews I saw. Good receptacle layout. RJ11 protection seems useless today but does not inhibit anything. No surge yet. Hopefully insurance is easy to use in case of failure.

I am not sure if they have an engineer designing these, or a monkey. The outlets in the middle are all entirely too close together for normal plugs to fit, so you're going to be using every other one at best. The outlets on the edges are spaced further apart laterally, but too close to the middle ones, so any big power supply plugged into those will take up at least two from the middle. It is an exercise in trying to organize all the plugs to get them to fit into the receptables, and even then, you're only going to be able to use about 8 of the 12 receptacles. So, this is effectively an 8-outlet surge protector. Why they can't just space the receptacles apart a reasonable distance doesn't make any sense. So many power strips have this problem. There are some newer models from other manufacturers that recognize this and have started making 10 or 12 receptacle designs where you can actually fit everything on them. HOWEVER... you don't get the insurance on those that you do with Tripp Lite. And that is the only reason I went with Tripp Lite. Their designs are terrible, but they're one of the very few with insurance who might actually honor it if you ever need it. It's a dependable, reliable brand that's been around for a while. I recently lost several pieces of equipment from a small lightning related surge, probably just barely enough to damage them. But I had been using an older power strip which may have even not been able to handle the surge. This Tripp Lite has the highest joule rating (which is hopefully not exaggerated like so many other most certainly are) with the most receptacles, so I'm trusting my new equipment with this. Also, they don't tell you the size of screws required to mount it to a wall, but judging by the size of the holes, you can only use a #6 flat head. That's a tiny screw for this big piece of equipment (but there are 4 mounting holes). I'm still trying to figure out how one mounts #6 screws into drywall anchors.

Haven't had a complete power outage yet only a quick fluctuation that caused everything to turn off and back on a 1/2 second later but everything I plugged into the Tripp Lite seems fine and the 'grounded LED is still green so I guess it's a go! Can't really give it 5 stars yet until I see what happens during a full power outage.

Since installing it about a week ago, it has performed as expected. (I had previously bought the same kind of surge protector from another company and had had to return that one which did not work.) I appreciate the light indicators telling me that the line is grounded and the surge protector is working. I haven't experienced it shutting itself off when overloaded yet, but I also appreciate that feature.

Best value and protection in the industry!
By Khanz
After a lot of research and reading through multiple reviews, the Tripp Lite stands out as one of the best in the industry. The pros are: - 4320 joules - 12 outlets - 8ft cord - Two USB charging ports - Lifetime warranty Don't have to worry about surges as this will provide great protection.
Can't go wrong with TrippLite!
By David
After researching several various brands and offerings from retailers, I decided on TrippLite as they received excellent reviews. I bought two of the 12-outlet surge protectors for my home office. These replace two CP protectors that I had that wore out (some outlets were no longer working) after an electrical storm hit the area. Very happy with the multiple outlets and spacing so I can plug in larger power plugs. Also love the 8' cord so it's easier to reach my wall outlet. Great product thu...
