AF is quick, smooth, and silent, and manual focus is easily accomplished as well. I have used it on a monopod and hand-held and am quite pleased. It may be a tad soft compared to the Canon or Nikon zoom lenses (or prime lenses) in this telephoto range, but considering the cost difference the lens is great!

This is a nice lens. I mounted it on a Nikon Df and I was pleased with the build quality, the feel of the zoom, the speed on the autofocus and the quality of the images. It would mainly be used outdoors because of the f/5-6.3 but how many people want to use a 600mm zoom anywhere else? This quite a heavy lens and I would prefer the zoom not extend out from the lens but for this price this is quite a good product. I was hesitant to use "third party" lenses but I believe I am hooked until proven otherwise.

I am thrilled with this purchase! The lens focuses quickly, and is sharp. You do need a lot of light, as expected with any lens of this length, but the noise wasn't as bad as I had expected even with very high iso. The image stabilization is good. I am 65 and taking a lot of hand help photos. I highly recommend this lens.

The Tamron sp 150-600 bundle was one of the most appropriate decisions I have ever made as a photographer. I was working on deciding between two companies to purchase from, but with the added bundle for a matching price I made my first ever purchase from Adorama. This was an amazing and smooth transaction. The lens arrived quickly, with zero damage to box or product, and opening it was like Christmas. When I bought the bundle I assumed it only came the cleaning kit and the lens filters. As I inboxed it though it had everything! A case, a lens hood, a lens cap leash, the cleaning kit, the filters, and a carrying case for the filters. When I make another purchase sometime this year, I will be choosing Adorama.

This lens is great for longer distance shots, but won't focus closer as does my Sigma 50-500mm Lens. Almost have to carry another camera with a close-up lens, too.

This lens is very impressive. It requires lots of light to pull sharp images. With the image stabilization technology built into this lens, I am able to shoot 99% of my shots hand held. I use a strap that attaches to the trim-pod connector. This allows me to carry it around without wearing my arms out from the weight. It has an excellent price point allowing hobbies like myself a chance to get into the long zoom range with some very impressive image potential.

Exactly what I was looking for. Very good sharpness at fool zoom. Is fast at focus even at moving objects. Lighter than what I expected while still feeling like it is well built. I was able to take stunning pictures of wildlife and the full moon with all its craters. Additionally be able to capture close up video of my sons holiday performance from the back of audience. Great value in comparison to all other makers of this category of zoom lens.

Can say enough about this lenses. I use it on my Sony A7ii with an A mount to E mount converter. Together they are quite the pair. I've been on a trip about five days now and I've already filled a 64G memoir stick and half of another, I'm not shooting continuously, with wildlife shots. By far one of the best lenses I own. The autofocus can be slow but the manual focus is fast and easy to master. Great lens for nature and wildlife shots, would highly recommend.

Only issue is sometimes a little slow to focus, it hunts a bit. Images very clear. It works well with the Tamron 1.4x and 2x T/Cs. I shoot with a full frame Canon 5d Mk III.

I considered this lens and Canon 70-200 with 2x. I tested both and the value of the 150-600 is excellent. It is heavy and I only use it with my Cotton Carrier. Love the quality of the photos it takes.

I use this lens for baseball during the day and it does a great job for the price. My best pictures come from my Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8; however, that lens isn't long enough for outfield pictures or across field pictures. Sometimes auto-focus doesn't work as quickly as I would like and occasionally I have to take the lens off the body and reinstall to get it to auto-focus again. This is a great lens for wildlife too.
