It may be the sharpest lens I have.

I purchased the refurbished tamron 90mm2.8 to complete my Sony A77 bag. I had looked at it listed at $299.95 however when the price dropped to $ it was a no brained . The lens works quickly and silently on both my Sony A65 and A77. It may be the sharpest lens I have.

Image quality fine slow focus

Adorama was just fine as always. The lens is a generation old but since it was several hundred cheaper than the new model I decided to give it a shot . The lens is plenty sharp for the macro photos I wanted. The focusing while quiet is incredibly slow even when limiting the range . I end up manually focusing the lens quite a bit which for me shooting at still objects very close seems to be ok.
