Does the job with no vignetting

In the past I've had trouble with lens hoods, especially using telephoto or zoomed out lenses. The problem has been with vignetting (i.e. a part of the hood would appear in the frame). This one is designed in such a way so as to avoid that problem altogether.

Easy to use ... easy to loose

Works as it should, but the not-so-firm lock on the lens hood sometimes loosens. I carry my camera on a sling, against my hip, and the lens hood sometimes brushes against my hip. It often falls off the lens and yesterday it apparently landed on a soft surface. Didn't notice it was gone until it was too late. Too bad there isn't a built-in button lock, like there is on the lens hood for my Canon 16-35 f/4.
