LYNNE S : I have a 75-300 tamron will this work without out creating edge shadowing?DAVID C : I actually had to return this lens hood because it won't fit the Tamron 70-300mm Di VC USD lens. So I can't answer your question. Sorry.LEX L : I may not be much help. I had no edge problems but I only used it a few times then sold it.
Shopper : How does it attach?DINO F : There is a small white dot on the back edge of the hood in the 9:00 o'clock position relative to the Tamron name at 12:00 o'clock. Line up that small white dot on the back edge of the hood with a similar white dot on the top (12:00 o'clock) of the threaded area at the front of the lens body. Rotate the hood counterclockwise (assuming you are holding the camera in shooting position) until you feel it clicking into position. When the lens hood is correctly locked in position, the Tamron name on the lens hood should be aligned with the white dot on the lens body.PETER M : You first line up the white dot on the lens hood with the white square on the lens ring and turn the hood clockwise until it locks in place.MARC U : Yes I do have one brand new and I've never used it because the lens I bought ended up having one already. So it's just sitting on the shelf.DAVID C : The lens hood I bought was too small to fit the lens I have, which is an F/4-5.6 Di VC USD lens. I had to return the lens hood. I wrote to Tamron to complain that the original lens hood was too long and it makes changing the focal length very inconvenient when the lens hood was "stored" on the lens, and there is apparently no replacement lens hood that is shorter.

Must have for Tamron 70-300

This lens hood works perfectly with my Tamron 70-300. It fits tightly and secures backwards too for easier storage.
