Shopper : hi, will this auto focus on the nikon d200 ?TIM F : Yes, this lens will auto focus on any Nikon body with focusing motor inside the body such as the Nikon D200.NELSON S : Well, I have been using Nikon D 7000, Nikon D 300 and now Nikon D600. It will not work with Nikon D 600. I did not have problem with this lens, however I have been trying not to use full zoom because of vignetting. Other than that, it focus fast on AF. Very reliable lens.ANDREW R : Yes, this lens should be compatible with the D200.

If you changed focal length zooming in or our it changed focus with even the slightest change. . You had to stop and refocus every time. Returned lens to Adorama which they refunded charge immediatly. Good customer service. Lens used on Nikon D200. Have several other lens and have never had a problem like this with anyone of them.TIM F : Hi, I have a Nikon D40 body and it won't auto focus on the smaller Nikon bodies without the in-body focusing motor. Sorry, don't have any experience with the D200, but I know it will focus the non AF-S lenses.

More then Expected

I was looking a day to day lens, this one was on sale. I gave it a try and it worked perfectly for me. Use it for 90% of my shooting, beside that I have 400mm and 11-16 mm as well.

It is real workhorse

I like it

This lens was purchased for a carry around lens. I wanted a 24-70 2.8 and the price was way to much for a semi pro photographer. Friend lent me his tokina and I was impressed. The quality for the photos are much better than I expected. I am buying the 11-16 now however will stay away from the 16-50. the quality is not as good as the other 2 lenses. Once thequality is better I will own all 3

Tokina AT-x 16.5-135 DX, is a lens designed exclusively for digital SLR cameras with APS-C sensors.* This lens gives the digital photographer an ultra wide-range zoom lens that has the equivalent angle of view to a 25-200mm.

* The lens is designed for digital cameras with APS-C sized CMOS and CCD sensors (DX) , not designed for cameras with full frame sensors (FX).

This Tokina compact super wide zoom range begins at 16.5mm and offers the photographer a wider angle of view than most lenses in its class that start at 18mm. This makes the lens better suited for scenic and travel photography in addition to being a great standard lens for most general photography situations.
