Surprisingly good lens
Wasn't sure this would be enough of an improvement over its older version but it is. I was very pleasantly surprised at how sharp it is with fast accurate autofocus. Very useful range. Perfect pairing with my D750.

Designed for full frame cameras, the Tokina ATX-I 17-35mm F/4.0 gives photographers a flexible wide-angle option. When at a focal length of 17mm, the lens yields a spectacular 103.9-degree field of view, great for shooting in tight situations or for taking in wide landscapes.This compact wide-angle zoom has a wide-open f/4.0 aperture, ideal for achieving auto focus in lower light situations. Two super-low dispersion glass elements and one aspheric glass element allow for excellent contrast and sharpness while controlling chromatic aberration.
One Touch Focus.
Tokina's exclusive One-touch Focus Clutch Mechanism allows the photographer to switch between AF and MF simply by snapping the focus ring forward for AF and back toward the lens mount for manual focusing.
Brilliant Construction.
Additionally, the mechanics have been designed for better seals around moving parts making the lens more water-resistant than lenses of the past. The lens is also designed to stand up to the rigors of daily use by photographers in a wide variety of shooting conditions and environments.
