The range of highly acclaimed AT-X PRO lenses from Tokina is set to increase with the AT-X 28-70mm PRO SV f2.8 lens.

Tokina has retained the outstanding performance that customers have come to expect from all the AT-X series lenses, however by using new manufacturing technology and materials, they have not only improved the barrel design for more comfortable handling but also reduced the overall weight of the lens, which has resulted in a lower cost AT-X lens to the end user.

The 28-70mm features a constant f2.8 aperture throughout the zoom range, which is excellent for low light photography at any focal length, while the wide aperture allows more light through for picture taking in difficult lighting situations.

The lens can easily be switched from auto focus to manual modes. While in manual focus, the lens has a damped action for smooth precise focus movement. Use of filters is convenient thanks to the non-rotating 77mm filter thread on the front lens barrel.
