I bought this mainly as monitor; most monitors do not have HDMI input but this TV has 2 along with USB, VGA, separate & component inputs. I could hook up a BlueRay or even play Lunar Lander C=64. It has long bothered me that Toshiba TVs only have a fiber-optic digital audio out but for my use that was not dissuasive; the speakers are not "theater-quality" nor did I expect that in such small sized speakers. It is the picture that I am most pleased by coupled with low energy consumption. This is low but not the lowest around, a good balance between video quality, connections and power savings.
