Bought this after reading numerous online reviews extolling its virtues, but also questioning its price compared to other like-sized tablets. At the current price, it's still a somewhat spendy unit, but really performs well. The screen is super sharp with great contrast and full, rich blacks. Fantastic for watching movies...best I've seen on any tablet. I don't get the comment that it's too dark, brightness just needs to be adjusted. The size is a good compromise for all-around use: reading books, surfing, watching movies, etc. It fits in a cargo pocket and is quite light without felling at all flimsy. It is nicely built from quality materials. The speakers are just OK, but I think they are at least as good as my 10" Thrive in a smaller package. Doesn't bother me, I use earphones most of the time anyway. The processor speed is good, and the Jelly Bean update didn't hurt a thing, unlike the ICS update on my Thrive. It's smooth and has a reasonably friendly interface. Battery life is OK, but there are others that have much better life in this size tablet. I have read reviews complaining it can't be rooted, but I never intended to root it. If that's a big deal to you, it may be a deal-breaker. I love having a micro SD slot. I put movies on a 32gb card using DVD Catalyst on my home PC, with each movie taking about 1gb. That's a lot of movies on one tiny card and they look amazing. Too bad Toshiba discontinued this, it's not likely tablets like this will come again given the direction of the Android tablet market. It may be a bit over-built, but I love that about it.

Charger is huge. Display is not bright despite it is very colorful. Speakers are a joke. Does not rotate the screen easily. Does not charge via USB. Hard to find a leather case. came out of the box showing 12GB total memory despite it was supposed to be 32GB... Broken right out of the box.

Read all the reviews - "Best Tablet You'll Never Buy" was my favorite but was based on the original MSRP. At Adorama I saved over $150. It was well worth the price compared to other tablets which lack ports, and their plastic construction. Just Love having MicroSD & USB slots, front and rear cameras. Great fit in the hand for surfing, watching movies. Sandisk 64GB MicrSD class 10 works Fantastic !
