Simply Does What it Should
If you need an external drive this is a great solution. I've got a few WD and Seagate drives, this was first try of a Toby and it's fantastic.
Low cost, great size, awesome performance. I moved Lightroom photos to this drive to free up space on my primary. Painless process, and no issues since the move.
What more can you want, basic black color, works without issue and great value.
Buy one....... with your money

Works great

Compact but quite handy
This is a nice little hard drive for the price and the size. Ordered one on sale from Adorama and they did a great job at shipping it fast for free. It's a must have for those needing an extra backup drive.

Works For What it's Supposed to Do
This is a great deal for such a good amount of storage space. I needed a back-up of a back-up, as well as new back-up space. Plenty of room to copy the contents of smaller back up hard drives, plus new space to add more. It seems very solidly built. It transfers about as fast as expected using USB 2.0 (the only kind I have on my laptops). I would recommend it. It's very easy to use, too.

Returned them
I have 4 other Canvio 1TB USB 3 drives that work fine. Using PassMark disk speed test, same connection, same parameters, same system, etc. The older 4 have data on them, so the speed results should be slightly different due to seek times. The slower drive has an older model disk in it, but is acceptable for speed.
#1 - 18.6 MB/sec
#2 - 13.97 MB/sec
#3 - 17.8 MB/sec
#4 - 17.5 MB/sec
Then the 2 new drives, no data added, just what came on them, so should be faster do to shorter seek times.
#5 - 7.68 MB/sec
#6 - 5.48 MB/sec
I have 6 USB 2 drives (also Toshiba some 500MB or 640MB) that test faster ...between 9.4 MB/sec to 16.63 MB/sec. The USB2 drives test on same system, same conditions, but different USB port. Some speed difference will be due to the disk size, 500MB vs 1000MB.
With the new drives running this slow compared to 4 others of the same model, I just returned them.
