JOSEPH K : Can I do a full system image with this devise or does it have built-in software that would not allow that?ANDREW R : The manufacturer indicates that: "Provides file, folder, full system backup and recovery with pre-loaded software" I believe that in order to do a complete system image you would need to reformat and re-partition the drive (though the manufacturer's spec's aren't completely clear). Also, the ability to this would - I suspect - depend on the OS of the system image in question.

EASY TO USE

I was looking for an external hard drive to be used for backups. In the past I had one but it was too complicated to use. I wanted a brand name drive with a good warranty. This Toshiba is easy to use, is not overpriced and it has a three year warranty. The software is built-in and it is very easy to use. This product has everything that I wanted and more. The USB port supplies the power, no separate Power is needed. The drive also works on a 2.0 USB as well as a 3.0 USB. I gave it five stars because I like everything about it. Great product at a reasonable price.

DOA

The drive arrived "dead on arrival." I returned it for an exchange and am waiting for it as I type. They can't all be bad so I am giving Toshiba another chance.
