This is almost exactly like the Matthews
Originally purchased a matthews M25 A real quality piece for shooting gear. I found I needed a second one for additional cameras and found that Matthews no longer made theirs. I tried several other brands and found the counter balance along with the pan and tilt drag were terrible. This is the exact match to the Matthews. I get smooth pans and tilts along with a light weight solid tripod at a better price then the other manufactures.

well worth the price
Great tripod for the price. Light, easy to set up, and fluid head operates nice with the small camcorders and dlsr's. Using this within a school district so its durable and compact for students to carry around and set up quickly.

horrible tripod
This is the worse tripod I have bought, it was very badly designed. I returned it the day I opened the box.
