It's the best backpac I've ever had.
Gear is very well protected. The side walls are strong. It will hold 2 full frame bodies with lens attatched. Very strong velcro on the deviders. The padding and ventilation is awsome. They put it in all the right places. I pack it to 75-80lbs and it fits and rides on my back and hips very nice for miles.
The Tamrac Expedition 9x is the latest offering in Tamrac's award-winning Expedition Series. It was specifically designed to accommodate a DSLR with a long telephoto lens attached (such as 400mm, 500mm or 600mm) or an intermediate zoom lens (200mm or 300mm) attached, additional lenses, camera bodies, flashes and accessories.
This large backpack features a multi-section divider system to accommodate long telephoto lenses of different lengths and diameters. The top section supports the camera and cinches tightly to the narrow portion of the lens where it attaches to the camera.
The bottom section includes two foam-padded, plastic-reinforced vertical dividers and one horizontal divider that can be adjusted vertically to fit varying length lenses and lens shade diameters. The Carry-on Compression System allows the pack to be made carry-on compatible for U.S. domestic flights. This requires the removal of the camera body from the long telephoto lens.
