Works ok if you forgo the lens shade. I prefer to have the shade attatched, at least reversed on the lens. Wide angle and larger objective lens shades do not fit in case.

I love this bag it is a perfect size. It will easily hold my Nikon D300 with the 70-200 f2.8 lens attached. I have found that it will also carry my D300 with my 24-70 f2.8 and I can fit my SB800 flash in it's case on top so it makes for a very versatile case. There is plenty of room for my extra battery, memory cards, card reader, and filter. It is comfortable to carry over the shoulder but the only thing I wish that it had would be to have some kind of back pack straps to carry it on my back.

I have a large bag that holds most of my camera gear, but for my Canon 5D Mark II one of my two long zooms (Canon 70-200 f/2.8 IS and Sigma 120-400mm OS, this bag stays in my front seat for quick access. I purchased it specifically to hold the camera and long zoom, but once received I quickly learn to appreciate the protection and necessities storage it offered.
