Great choice

I use it very often for outdoors, The Bag is almost perfect it can be customized it in many ways. is my second Tamrac from this type and sadly this new one has not as wide waist strap as the older one ,which made it more comfortable. The older one was bought in 1997 and used heavily till 2009. i Hope Tamrac upgrades this Bag with the older wider Waist strap and then i will say is PERFECT. The Bag is: Strong/ seems weather proofed/ light/ perfect sized/ ergonomic/ easy to reach the Camera/ too pretty(when i travel i put it in a second ugly bag otherwise is obvious i have nice stuff in there).

Very Nice...

Very nice. I'm embarrassed to say I have a 55"+ waist, but excited that the belt fits and is comfortable!!!! I was afraid it wouldn't. Lots of pockets and KILLER Velcro for the dividers inside, it's a little difficult to move them, it sticks so well! Impressive! Love the handle, and the shoulder strap and the waist strap --- doesn't get any more convertible.

The high performance and versatile Velocity 5x - Photo Hip Pack Convertible doesn't look like a camera bag, but it holds and protects a digital or film SLR with zoom lens attached up to 5" long, additional lenses and a flash. Inside the main compartment, the camera with lens attached is suspended on two vertical, foam-padded dividers.

It converts from a shoulder bag to a hip pack with the Tuck-A-Way hip belt (adjusts to 53"). Cinch straps on the hip belt help stabilize the pack. For fast and convenient access to camera gear, the Quick Flip Top opens away from the body.

The front pocket has organizer pockets inside to keep a mobile phone, PDA or photo accessories within easy reach. It also features Tamrac's patented Memory & Battery Management System that uses red flags to identify available memory cards and batteries from ones that are used up. A pocket inside the lid stores filters and lens caps.

Add Tamrac's optional accessories using the attachment slots for the Strap Accessory System (S.A.S.) and Modular Accessory System (M.A.S.) products to customize this high performance hip pack to perfectly fit your needs.
