I have another Tamrac bag with a pocket for my laptop. It has its uses, but it's very big. I got this bag for portability. It holds my 5 lenses (including my 300mm) and could probably fit another one. The top and front pockets are a bit narrow, but they carried everything I needed. It was fairly comfortable to wear and use. To get to the bottom lenses, you have to un-velcro a divider. I just kept my lesser used lenses down there. If you use all of your consistently, you might consider that an issue.

I love it and just the right size for me but readjusting the insides with velcro is very difficult.

The overall construction of bag feels great. Wish the shoulder padding is bit thicker. It's a tight fit for my Canon 7D with 2 lens, hoods & flash.

I bought this camera pack for better access to my camera during activities. The first time I used it was on a snowboarding trip in Colorado. The bag was very comfortable and the straps kept it tight to my back preventing it from shifting and throwing me off balance. On the trip I used it for 5 days straight out on the slopes and never had any problems. There was plenty of padding to protect the camera from damage. I had room for my camera (Canon 400D) with lens attached, a second lens, a shoe-flash or third lens, 3 extra memory cards and batteries, and even room for a few extras such as filters. I was even able to fit an extra small lens (50mm) at the very bottom if I really wanted. It does take a little time to adjust all the dividers just the way you want, but it is not really a problem.

Like this pack except you have to remove equipment to get a lens at the bottom of the pack.

The Velocity 8x Pro Sling Pack is slightly smaller than the Velocity 9x, but still accommodates a pro digital or film SLR with a grip (such as Canon's EOS 1D series or Nikon's D2 series) and an 8" zoom lens attached. Inside the main compartment, the camera with lens attached is suspended on two vertical, foam-padded dividers that are internally reinforced with rigid plastic.
The Velocity 8x can be carried comfortably like a backpack, but when swung around to the front, the secure zippered Quick Flip Top opens away from the body for fast and convenient access to camera gear.
A well-padded sling strap comfortably distributes the weight, but need not be removed to quickly access photo equipment. A Tuck-A-Way waist belt allows the Velocity 8x to be used comfortably during vigorous activities such as hiking or biking. The front pocket has organizer pockets inside to keep a mobile phone, PDA or photo accessories within easy reach.
It also features Tamrac's US-patented Memory & Battery Management System that uses red flags to identify available memory cards and batteries from ones that are used up. A pocket inside the lid stores filters and lens caps. Customize this sling pack with Tamrac's Modular Accessory System components.
